Because they're desperate to recoup some of their money for development and the game hasn't sold very well. Case in point: Suicide Squad is 3.49 or 4.99 for the deluxe edition. The game sold like trash so they desperately want to make some more money and hope people will go like "well it's only 5 bucks. I may as well."

Dude could randomly give 147,000 people 1 million dollars but he's more likely to just give it to charities that his buds or family will benefit from.

He didn't threaten to do it. He said he was going to. Threaten has the implication he might choose not too but he directly said he'd be doing it on his first day in office. That is not a threat. It's a plan.

You can be a truly vile piece of shit without having to resort to prejudice. If anything, resorting to racism to be a piece of shit is cheap, as if the writer didn't want to think of an actually shitty thing the character could do. For instance, if you could turn one of your companions over to a bounty hunter who wants them because of some gambling debts. But you've gotten to know them and understand those debts were only a result of them being blackmailed into gambling by some mobster. Then when the bounty hunter comes a knocking, you say "Don't care, you shouldn't have gambled" and turn them over. Mind I'm not a writer so this isn't the best example. But that's still being a piece of shit without having to be racist. There are more ways to be a piece of shit and have it be interesting than resorting to prejudice.

Can you treat the women negatively because they are women? Can you treat the Grey Warden Davrin badly because he's a black elf? Can you treat the Dwarf Harding badly because she's a Dwarf?

The answer to all of these is no. Why should someone being trans be any different?

Edit: is it purely pushing an agenda because it's a "controversial" topic for some people? Would the same be said if accepting Black rights in our society was more recent and the game had allowed you to simply accept a black person for who they are? Making your character accept your companions for who they are is a core theme of the game, Taash is no different.

The Steam forums are fucking awful. Filled with bigotry and nazis complaining about gaming be woke. There's literally a list of "Woke games" for people to avoid, it has thousands of games on there.

When people talk about the new Dragon Age, it's filled with people calling it woke propaganda and pushing the transgender ideology all because it has a trans character that you can't not accept.

Nah, it does. The ICC was created by the Rome Statute, and while we helped negotiate it, in order to join it and recognize it's jurisdiction we would have to ratify the treaty. We did initially sign it but didn't ratify it. Then, in 2002, under Bush, we withdrew our signature and said it wouldn't be ratified. We did this because we committed war crimes during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and we didn't want Americans to be tried for said war crimes.

It has 124 state members, and we aren't one of them. Some other countries that aren't members are Indonesia, India, China, and Israel (of course). So it's not everyone but us that are a part of it, but yeah. We aren't a part of the ICC even if we are a part of the world.

While we've been an "observer" before, we don't recognize it having jurisdiction over any non-member country.

That's a super short statement. I'm surprised he even commented on it considering we aren't apart of the ICC. Regardless, Israel is waging a genocide and they needed to be stopped and the current administration needs to be replaced desperately.

Since some people don't seem to remember, his replacement is Sen John Thune. He was elected a week or two ago. I have no idea why this article is mentioning at all that he is stepping down as US senate GOP leader because we've known that for months.

This kind of thing is constant. Anti-trans pieces of shit will often use discredited doctors or doctors from completely different fields or doctors they paid to say those things or doctors they specifically looked for while passing by all the actually knowledgeable doctors on the subject or the friends of people doing studies who happen to be doctors and are transphobes. They never use actual good data and studies and testimony because if they did it would show they're wrong.

Just so no one defaults to "the election was legit and there's no evidence to show that it wasnt", Bullet votes for Trump are definitely suspiciously high (5-7 percent despite historically not even breaking 1 percent) in swing states. And only swing states. There wasn't a trend of significantly higher bullet votes across the country, its a purely swing state thing and it's in every one of them. And it's usually just enough for him to win and be just over the automatic recounts threshold.

If you dont want to read the article and data, just know that it's really easy to create malware that only activates after something is plugged in and then deletes itself after. So the theory is that memory cards when plugged in created hundreds of thousands of bullet votes for Trump to swing the election.

It isn't impossible. All that would be needed to prove this didn't happen are hand recounts. But people like Musk have started to say that "recounts are dangerous and never accurate" and that's suspicious as fuck. Unfortunately the Harris campaign has been very reluctant to ask for these recounts because they dont want to be accused of doing the same thing Trump did back in 2020.

Hopefully the recounts happen and we either find out that yes he stole the election, or that yes he won it. But all that is needed to show that for sure are recounts.

Note for anyone that doesn't know: Bullet votes in this instance are votes where the person only voted for the top of the ticket and left everything else blank.

Fuck this. She shouldn't just be complying. She's trying to take the high road and that's not what's needed. She should be fighting because it's not just about her but all the trans staffers that exist in the capital. This fucking sucks and makes me worry about whether she'll even fight for trans peoples rights in the country.

Edit: MTG and Nancy Mace are literally saying her using the woman's spaces is assault. She should be fighting this not just letting them walk all over her.

I have a friend who studies PFAs at a well known university in my state. Their department is all starting to talk about how they're expecting people to come into the department and slow down the research as much as possible by whatever means necessary. All because of the Trump presidency.

So the answer is simple. No.

Nope, I'm expecting it to be alphabetical by author like all other places that I go to. They're just a mishmash of authors and I'll often find the same authors books be in different places in the same section. It sucks.

At the Barnes and Noble by me, the books aren't in alphabetical order, and it pisses me off. It's good to have more actual book stores but I wish my local one fucking alphabetized their books.

I've been wondering if those videos I've been seeing on my subscription page were good or bad. Fucking sucks they're turning that direction esepcially because they've done some amazing reporting on a lot of different things but the stuff that has really stuck with me is their trans reporting and this sounds like they're taking a 180 and it's only a matter of time before they put out a video saying something like "Here's why trans people are dangerous". Time to unsubscribe.

This is something that really bothers me. You can't be liberal on the issues of abortion and climate change and also be supportive of conservative politicians who are completely opposed to those two things being important. You're basically just a liar.
