3rd rock from the sun did a whole episode on this, starring the woman who played Roseannes sister as Dick's new love interest.

25 years later, and I still pronounce legume the way they did in that episode as I recite this fact.

Why bother spending time and effort changing the name when there are women and minorities to oppress??? Think it through man!

Here's one you may or may not know about. Nestle actually engages in and uses literal slave labor to grow coco beans in other countries.

So you think "well, how hard is it really to just buy hersheys chocolate instead? And buy your cookies from local bakeries?"

Except no. Nestle is more than just chocolate. It's like hundreds of brands. I'm constantly checking packaging now to see if their logo is on products. It owns DiGorno pizza. It owns Hot Pockets. It owns water bottles. It's like half the grocery store. And that's just ONE COMPANY!!!

My issue isn't accepting that you're right. My issue is keeping track of it all. I've hated Nestle since 2012. I didn't realize the scope of their brands until 2020. I think they even own a pet food company that makes dog food and cat food. Now granted I don't have pets, so I'd not have delt with that, but still.

I only have so many brain cells left to rot before I'm a full on dementia ridden crazy person who thinks it's still the Nixon years, despite the fact I was born in 1983.

I remember when my dad would snore loudly, I'd always punch him in the balls really really hard, and then drop to the floor.

One time he went to the doctor trying to run tests to figure out why his balls hurt every night. Doctors had zero clue what to make of that.

Where possible, avoid buying from companies that are complicit.

It asked me "Would you like to remove this path?" I said yes, thinking it meant the program using that path within the program. No, it meant delete the whole damn folder.

I wish Kodi could host the library from outside your home. So I could be at a friends house, and I just log in to my library from his house, and we watch season 6, episode 14 of the simpsons. Random episode, but whatever. You get my point.

Instead, I tried setting up JellyFin, and I couldn't get it to work. So I said "Fuck it. I'll delete this and try from scratch, and reinstall JellyFin."

Instead, it deleted 32 terabytes of videos. It deleted the "media" folder, which I set as JellyFins home directory. Every dvd I ripped, every tv show, every movie, every wrestling show, every comedy special. All of it. Gone.

Luckily I have a backup, but that was 2 years ago, and I'm never even home enough to WATCH the stuff, let alone try to restore these files one by one which took literal decades to assemble.

Somewhere is a folder called "N-Gage videos". Which is episodes of TV shows that in 2003 I formatted to fit on an N-gage screen size. Useless now, but it shows how old some of that collection is.

I think either PS1/Saturn/N64 or PS2/Dreamcast/Gamecube would be the first time I'd trust a console to run the game authentically.
