My boyfriend joined, but he‘s only using it a little bit and mostly still on Reddit. Though maybe me sending all my memes and stuff from here will eventually get him to come here more.

The rest, no, they are the types to use TikTok, Twitter and Instagram, they just want to follow a few influencers/famous people, theres no content for that on here and probably for the best anyway. When I want to write to them I use Signal.

Maybe it‘s cause I‘m a woman or maybe I‘m too stupid, but I read 3 negotiation books and tried multiple times with all I had learned and despite years of stellar performance reviews got fuck all (well like 1-2% twice in 2 years at 10% inflation lmao which felt like an insult).

It‘s probably going to be the other way around if anything, Spotify eventually doing various moves worsening the experience in an effort for more money. Close, I moved to a smaller and cheaper apartment and reduced some other costs, then I found a job where I work 30h a week.

Each month when I get my wage now I think "I bought this time and I best make use of it" and so it changed my mindset to one where I enjoy my free time a bit more, maybe cause I‘m aware of the price I pay for it.

I‘m new too and on kbin and gotta say, I don‘t even know where I am half the time, but excited to be here anyway.

I just said the truth that my Dad had cancer and I went home to spend time with him and then take care of things after his death (1y gap). Kinda annoying how they still ask me that even 8 years later, but at least there is usually some sort of apology or regret after I tell them.

I don‘t know why it didn‘t work for you, maybe it only works on compassionate people and I got lucky. Good advice though, no need to be truthful in interviews.
