  • That is what fresh food not overloaded with preservatives will do. You should really make fresh produce shopping more of a daily activity as you need it. But not everyone has that kind of time understandably bi-weekly also doable for truly fresh produce along with you plan out your meals for the week

  • That's what the difficulty mode selection is for. If you want an easy One-Shot experience just play on the easier modes. Overpowered over tuned weapons just create assholes in the higher difficulties kicking people out of games for not taking "the correct" load out.

Those of us with a little more time or a little more skill or a little more both enjoy the harder difficulties actually being... Difficult. Imagine that, the correct place to give people the ability to have a Nerf mode is in the difficulty slider which thankfully the developers have done!

Instead of complaining about weapon balance just turn down the difficulty and enjoy your easy experience

  • Gonna have to disagree. Telegram is the ONLY chat app with ACTUALLY NATIVE code clients on desktop and mobile. Its the only one that isn't website in a box trash that's slow heavy and buggy. I use discord mostly because it's where everyone is but i fucking hate everything about it and wish people would use telegram.

If you think other chat apps don't read/process metadata from your dms and such your an idiot. Nothing is safe short of self hosted matrix with full E2E encryption or similar and ain't nobody doing that.

  • I mean in the CEOs defense most people are fucking dumb. I mean just look what happened to jcpenney, their CEO decided let's stop with the bullshit no more fake sales no more fake prices everything is the real price on the sticker and it almost bankrupted them.

People were so stupid that they would go to the store across the mall to buy the exact same pair of pants that JCPenney was selling for $20 normal price at $40 "half off" because brain stupid likes the shiny discount sign

  • Feels like just a roundabout an exceptionally more difficult way to achieve a strong password versus just a password manager. Where you can do ridiculous things like have a 100 character long password

Only to discover that the website will accept 100 characters in the box but actually truncate it to like 40 without telling you

  • Unfortunately there is virtually nothing you can do about it or any of us. I've replaced just about everything in my kitchen with stainless steel. From plates to cups to bowls cookware measuring cups Etc you name it I've got it in the stainless steel.

I've got a 10-stage water filter faucet at the sink that I use for cooking and drinking but at the end of the day the only thing I've done is perhaps mildly reduced my exposure. It's in every last bit of food I prepare whether I cook everything myself or not There Is No Escape

  • Don't forget about reporting bias. You're more likely to find stories about Metal straw deaths because metal straws are not common. So when it does happen it's considered news, just like how you're going to see reports about almost every single EV fire and yet hundreds of cars Catch Fire every day and you almost never hear about that. Hell you've probably driven by a standard gasoline engine fire more than once in your life and thought very little of it

  • I agree with the idea behind your message. But keep in mind that in many places you aren't allowed to disconnect from the grid. I ran into that problem a lot when searching for a property to build an off-grid house, many counties simply require that you are hooked up to utilities if they are available within a certain distance of your house. Be it electricity water or sewer you just don't have a choice

  • I usually just keep them in the center console of my car the ones I bought came with a little nice bamboo bag thing to keep them in. So I only keep them in my pocket when I know I'm going to use them and I haven't found them to be particularly annoying in the pocket personally could always just hang the bag off a belt loop if it really bothered me though

  • Instead of paper we should have gone stainless steel. Safe, strong, reusable, fully recyclable. Ive got a few and i love em personally but i get why people don't go outta their way to have some

  • Or you know, food grade stainless steel straws. No bad chemicals, doesn't turn to mush (unless exposed to temperatures of 1,400 to 1,530 °C) and fully recyclable. Some people say they are hard to wash but ive never had a problem i just stick em vertical into the silverware holder of my dishwasher and it's always gotten all the way through the straw clean.

They are cheap to produce as well. Not plastic cheap maybe but businesses could easily replace plastic straws with them without going bankrupt or anything. Easy model is just have em as an optional extra so once people already have 8 they can just use their own lol

  • I love Hydroponics specifically because it removes soil. And it turns out that a very large majority of pests basically need that soil to set up shop so when you get rid of soil you get rid of a lot of common pest problems.

Also be careful if you do it with tomatoes, turns out that being a plant made up 90% of water means that you absolutely love being in a giant bucket of water and grow fucking out of control

  • Not unless they were willing to leave the city, any actual decent City you ain't going to find Jack shit for $200,000 as far as housing goes or even just raw land

I mean yes, that is a lot of money but it was a mixture of living out of my van for 5 years. Working 50+ hours a week and some of it is mortgaged atm. It's not like im loaded here lol.

The entire point of the original message was it's possible, just not something the majority of people are willing to do and I don't blame them. The build up to it was not fun and it's not fun having to drive almost 3 hours One Direction to see friends and such

But I decided it was worth it to finally own my housing, I don't regret the choice
