  • Fusion makes a bomb like the sun.

Fission makes a bomb like chernobyl.

Seems similar, actually different. We're actually pretty good at fission, but fusion is way harder. The problem with fusion is that you need a huge amount of power to generate a slightly huger amount of power in return, and we are pretty crap at generating a big enough spike of energy to start the reaction and marginally worse at capturing said power after. All in all, pretty far away from practical fusion power.

Fission, by comparison, can happen when you have too many special minerals in a wrong shaped pile. We abuse this effect to boil water, and use that boiling water to make power.

  • It depends on what you're doing. Metabo makes the best angle grinders. DeWalt makes the most reliable hand drills. Milwaukee is affordable. Imo best bang for your buck is good used tools. S&K made the best rachet set in the world for a time. Starrett and Mitutoyo stuff used to be practically bulletproof. Most modern brands don't hold a candle to the quality of tools made 40-50 years ago

  • So is Brandon Sanderson going to rewrite the king of the reshi isles or what? Lmfao I always laugh whenever someone tells me how inclusive or socially positive any of his writing is. Y'all can clown on JK Rowling no problem but give this guy a pass?

  • Remnant 2 and Deep Rock Galactic are the best that come to mind rn.

Remnant 2 is dark souls with guns and coop actually changes the game in some ways to better enable teamwork to make the dream work.

Deep Rock Galactic is just a wonderful little title about space dwarves mining a crazy bug planet. 100% randomly generated. Each of 4 classes feel like they bring something unique to each mission.

  • Nah nah nah. Guy needs super max for his own protection. In this day and age, officer safety is a real concern, even with disgraced former officers. Derek "Soft Derriere" Chauvin needs full 23 hour a day isolation interspersed with supervised private yard time. Anything less and I'm just petrified poor Derek won't survive. Shame.

  • Then he turns around and tithes to one of the most socially backwards, openly corrupt churches to be formed in the last 200 years.

If that wasn't bad enough, he scammed the community into backing a 43 million dollar kickstarter for an exclusive, never-to-be-released-on-audible project. Not even a year after release, he reverses completely and releases everything to audible without even a credit to the backers.

Absolute scam artist. I'm 85% convinced he's gonna come out with a Salt Lake City "creativity compound" where he's got a 20 cell sweatshop of indentured "employees" pumping out cosmere drafts. Dude has had creepy Cosby vibes for years and there's definitely a reason somewhere.
