There is a community for that kind of stuff if you're into it - !hardwaregore@lemmy.world. It's kinda inactive and only has a new post once every other month, but there's a photo of basically the same thing done to an HDMI cable seven posts down.

Maybe it's because I'm nostalgic about the mid-2010s, maybe it's because I'm wearing rose-tinted glasses (or maybe it's Maybelline), but I miss this era of YouTube. I can't even tell you why, but I miss it.

Eight or nine years ago, I went partying with a few friends and took the train back home afterwards. One of them came with me to the station, but he had to take a different train. So when I was about to get on my train, I said goodbye to my friend, turned to some random guy standing near us, and (very drunkenly) said, "And you take care of my friend here, okay? Take good care of him. Thank you." This screenshot reminded me of that beautiful memory. We had so much fun back then <3

Well, what if you current GPU suddenly died? You'd need another one to keep using your computer! Imagine not being able to use your computer while you wait for your new GPU to arrive. That's why it's a good idea to keep them all in their boxes. And it's an even better idea to keep multiple backup GPUs around because the backup might die, too uwu
