  • His party (and mine, I'm a card carrying member) are fastly becoming more and more mainstream. Which is good because we're growing and it's bad because we're becoming an institutionalised party that wants reform instead of revolution. (Also theh denouced Stalin, which I still can't get over).

  • The fragile cd 1 is just fantastic depreasion music all around.

  • My cat wants to eat the rich. But she is also afraid to go outside.

  • You clearly care, deeply. I look forward to reading something you write on the subject, or to see you organise.

  • At least those people are looking at places where actual revolutions happened and were sustained. Contrary to the US, where unions get busted, action groeps cointelpro-d, leaders assassinated, police violence used, and only the threat of the USSR to gain any social progress. And where QoL is on a steady decline? Please give me a better example.

Furthermore, historically, no one socialist nation has ever existed without being under continuous attack from those very forces - religious, fascists, corporatists, so I don't know what your on about. You're clearly passionate but I read your comments as incredibly idealistic to a fault.

Edit: and what's happening now is the very likely possibility of a 2nd Trump administration and this insane 2025 plan they're cooking up. So I don't even know where you are getting your information.

  • As soon as you have any actual answer on how to demonstrably improve peoples' lives and do this either within this system in a way that they'll let you, or without this system in a way that they won't assassinate you, I'm with you. I'm serious about that. But you don't have an answer, I already know, because all I see is posturing and arm chair theorizing.

Edit for Michael Parenti who ofcourse has absolutely amazing things to day on the issue: https://youtu.be/6gtUaGV6mNI?feature=shared

  • Read The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin for an indication of a functioning anarchist society years after it was established. Amazing book.

  • Well, I'm there with you.

  • You can def. invite me to your underground group.

  • I don't think you can expect any one person to be k owledgable about Marxist history around the globe. So much has happened and so much has been written and analysed, that it's just impossible to know everything. I would consider myself a long term communist even though I only started reading old texts and new texts etc about 2 years ago - the ethos of communism was always there.

But now that I started reading and watching and discussing, it's overwhelming. I cannot be expected to know every detail from every historical event and every person and every thing anyone has ever written.

Unfortunately, this is a charge often brought against communists - that we don't know every small detail about the 1917 revolution, or Hoxha's time as secretary-General or whatever

That said, I agree to your point that this is what makes it easy for cointelpro stuff to happen and people to invade and recommend subtly uncommunist stuff. Lef's keep educating our comrades, including myself, without judgement.

  • Chat is this real?

    Jump
  • Xi, baby, whatchu doin'?

  • I now have a fight with one of them because he told me he expects the same remarks from me regarding Stalin. I told him I that would never hapoen because Stalin actually did good for a lot of people.

  • I posted this in a friend chat, and said Good riddance, took out the trash, only umanitarian action he ever did (him dying). And my friends said I shouldn't be so extreme 'cause he also did good things (don't know what those are and they didn't tell me). Then they said something about taking extreme things and nuancing them.

I'm realising these people are the worst sort of down the middle soc-dems in their politics. They literally said something about pulling it "more to the middle".

  • Wauw. Thought it would never happen. Fucking Kissinger kissed it. Goodbye scumbag.

  • I somehow missed this. Thanks.

  • Louis Rossmann made a video on this. It's called why I dtopped paying for Netflix. Of you have a smart tv, they want you to use the native app or else they limit your definition.

  • Check out revleftmedia. Incredibly informative and in depth. I like it even better than the deprogram. Bhret had been on the deprogram though.

  • Revleftradio is incredibly informative on all marxist subjects. He also hosts Guerilla radio and another podcast Red Menace. All are madsive sources of information. He once did a 3hour podcast on Stalin from an ML perspective. It's still the most informative thing on Stalin I've ever heard.

  • I mean didn't they do this already years ago, and nothing changed? The UN is a spineless, useless organisation. According to wiki, it condemned Israel 45 times since 2013.
