  • a big part of the hate for fallout 76 wasnt even about the bugs, to this day i am 100% convinced that it was stoked massively by folks that bought it expecting a game it was fundamentally never trying to be, never marketed to be and never going to be

  • europeans do not need uncle sams permission to send their own military hardware anywhere, they need uncle sams permission to send US patented and classified materials anywhere

similar to how the US needs permission to send [european country here]'s patented and classified materials anywhere

  • 76 has actually made me pretty hopeful for the direction of bethesdas games- it includes a return to older style dialogue, introduced more skill checks and the like, featured a more cohesive world and generally seemed like it went back on the simplification a fair bit

starfield similarly seems to be more of a return to form for them, focusing more on character builds, an expansive trait system etc

it is also being worked on heavily by the lead quest designer for far harbor iirc, which is absolutely a good sign and is setting my hopes high for a deeper, more complex and more forked main questline than Bethesda usually goes for

  • they did, and thats commendable

i do not think nations, cultures or people should necessarily be expected to abandon symbols because they were coopted by abhorrent ideologies or people though, and i dont think that framing the use of such symbols as actual symbolism of those abhorreny ideologies or people is fair or accurate

  • not a blahaj user

personally, i feel like a significant portion of hexbear has more of an interest in signaling an interest in solidarity than having that solidarity

for a good chunk of them, solidarity doesnt seem to be as high of a priority as instance-based tribalism, finding libs to dunk on or promoting russia and/or china

  • this is pretty interesting, but includes a lot of examples that either dont include a date of introduction or are from before the the national fascist party or even the existence of fascism as a concept

i dont feel like framing examples like that as fascist symbolism is fair or accurate, same as how organisations continuing their pre-nazism usage of the swastika isnt nazi symbolism

  • an open, honest government where the declassification of documents is possible and even normalised regardless of how damaging they are for the image of said government is still beneficial for all of us

also, reiterating and proving commonly held beliefs is still beneficial for all of us, same way that actually researching things that everyone already thinks are true is still good

  • You just claimed that our instance “dissuade or encourage” specific views so which is it?

i didnt say that, stop getting hostile over statements you imagined

i said that lemm.ee does not do that

i made 0 statement on how hexbears policies compares to that, just that culturally users there have relatively similar views

second off, do you disagree that hexbears moderators and admins actively endorse and encourage leftist ideals, and discourage liberalism and fascism

    We’re all the same

i didnt say that, stop getting hostile over statements you imagined

i said that you are sitting at the same table as the rest of us, despite presumably not being a nazi

or we’re evil tankies who censor innocent little smol bean nazis?

i didnt say that, stop getting hostile over statements you imagined

i definitely thought you censor nazis, do you not censor nazis?
