  • Crazy!

Mid 30s millennial here from the prairies.

When we moved out, the thermostat didn't have Fahrenheit it only had Celsius. My parents could never understand what our house temperature was and it took me forever to figure it out because I grew up with Fahrenheit indoors, Celsius outdoors.

Ovens are only set to Fahrenheit, and we would always check the pool temperature in Fahrenheit

Even now, when my kids have a fever I measure it in Fahrenheit

  • I've been listening to the graphic audio versions of The Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson.

I just finished listening to Joe Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy. The narrator was fantastic. Probably the best I've listened.

  • I'm not disputing your claims, but I would like to read more on this. Your comment reads as though you've read up on this and as a Canadian, I'd love if you have some links or sources I could peruse.

You see, I'm approaching 37 and I'm realizing it's time to really get into war histories or I need to go get a smoker soon.

  • This just happened to me today. I was talking with a colleague and recalled that they had just gone on a short trip with their partner. First time away from the kids.

I asked how it was, I was a couple weeks overdue but they excitedly told me about it. It felt good to ask, did it change my day? Not really that much.

But this person was excited to share (a few weeks ago) their excitement and anticipation with me. So when I asked how it went, they got a chance to relive it and share with me the results.

All in all, they cared enough to share, I cared enough to ask and at the end of it, I felt good. I got to share in their excitement and make a person feel heard and valued AND they got to relive the excitement again.

  • Thank you for the reply - you've offered a great opportunity to ask another question 😂

I was looking at adguard. Is this something worth the subscription? I was looking at it because it seems to handle a lot of ads, including those on mobile games and stuff. But in my cursory glance, people are saying it's not safe...

I'll look at the GL-iNet because a) I want a powerhouse and b) I want nothing to do with flashing firmware haha

  • They already send the tv's out at cost to collect your data to sell.

They're starting to ship them with chips in them to send the data away whether connected to WiFi or not

And they're taking screenshots of what you watch, including when you plug in a laptop.

    We're almost there
