  • How is it any different that grown men with obligations standing around at work, not working, regurgitating stats they heard on Sports Center that morning and arguing over which guy they like on the team, as if they have any stake whatsoever in either team?

Some people like things, some people don't. It's just petty and frankly childish to have that "my team can beat your team" mentality because let's face it, it's just a grown up version of "my daddy can beat up your daddy."

  • Republicans will tell you that Trump "Says what he means" until he says something that might interfere with the money they're fleecing from millions of Americans

After that it's always "That's not what he meant..."

Same as the Christian apologists that will make something up out of whole cloth when what the Bible actually says undermines what they're saying about the group they hate this week.

Cowards and liars, the lot of them.

  • These are the same shitty mothers whose main complaint about schools being closed was that they couldn't get blackout drunk before 11am because now, the kids they had (for the same effect as carrying around a Chihuahua in a bag), were now having to stay home.

One of these women was on the news in Florida saying "I just don't know what we're supposed to do with our kids if they're not in school."

I dunno, raise them, simple bitch. These people legitimately want the State to teach their kids but also, don't you dare teach their kids...

These are the same women who are shitty to their kids and show them pictures of when they were cheerleaders in high school saying "Mommy had a great body before you ruined it."

  • It's absolutely hilarious to me how many of the "tough guys" who think they're the most macho men on the planet have to carry a fucking weapon on them at all times.

Are you a "tough guy" for real, or do you just cosplay as one with the other incels, Matty?

  • "... But at least it was washed, which I thought was nice of him. He doesn't usually grant me the benefit of a smegma-free opportunity to worship his grace. I just wish the American people could see him the way I do; as the father figure I never had. It's my truest honor to help destroy my country from within, like the good boy my Vladdy wants me to be."

    • Tucker Carlson, probably
  • Only someone prophetically stupid would agree to represent someone who is known for bailing on paying his debts.

The only reason someone would agree to it at this point is purely for publicity. Our culture has somehow tied self-worth to how much celebrity one has. It's why "influencers" are a thing when they offer nothing of value to society. It's also why you see so many videos on social media of someone just pointing at some text and playing a video they didn't make. Or the people lip syncing... It's all one big fucking talent show and no one wants you to look behind the curtain.

  • Oh, I'm sure his son has had the misfortune of being an "eyewitness" to lots of things.

Only in this timeline could a Christian Nationalist openly admit that he shares spank bank preferences with his son and nobody tells him to fuck all the way off from holding public office.

  • I don't disagree with you, but I think my point still stands; every time the Christians make a power grab, shit hits the fan.

There's a reason the puritans got kicked out of Europe.

They didn't come here to escape "religious persecution," they came here to continue persecuting people who weren't their religion. Look what they've done to every group that isn't them, just from a historical perspective.

Is that what we're gonna sit here and watch happen yet again?

  • Good luck getting the Latino voters in Florida vote blue. There's been a generational effort to convince the Cuban and Puerto Rican voters that anyone left of Mussolini is Fidel Castro incarnate.

I love my Latino brothers and sisters, but Florida is not the place to hope for a blue wave.

  • The reason Republicans refuse to do anything about climate change is because they're the political wing of the Christian Nationalists. Their Bible says that the world can't end until Israel reclaims the temple mount and after that, "a third of the grass and trees will burn up."

They're working on making that "prophesy" come true so they can dupe more people into their death cult.

When you realize that everything the Republicans do is for the sole purpose of helping Christians with their absolutely fucking hostile takeover of not just the United States, but the entire world, you'll have a better understanding of the lunacy we're seeing on the daily.

  • I'm what people would call "far left" but only because I don't think people should starve.

But I digress; I'm also gay and where I live, coming out would not be a good idea. I don't know of anywhere within 5 States where I would feel safe to just exist.

That's where we've allowed our country to go by allowing evangelicals to run roughshod unabated.

  • There are ~10k homeless people in Daytona Beach, Florida. The city built a shelter but it's about 8 miles from where the homeless are "existing," but to get there, they have to walk past the Speedway, which gets them either arrested or taken back to where they were. And on top of that, the shelter only has 45 rooms.

Who would walk 8 miles, risking an arrest record (which only makes it harder to rent even if they could afford rent there) just to find out that there was no room for them when they got there?

There's nothing around the shelter except the county jail and a few bail bonds places. There's no incentive to help these people and the county has done a piss poor job of addressing the skyrocketing cost of living that is the impetus of homelessness to begin with.

They could use the money from bike week to fund a shelter or, at very least, a soup kitchen, but instead, they just give that money to the city commissioner that oversees the area around the Speedway which is, coincidentally, the district of the Mayor's sister.

  • I work in an adjacent industry to construction and I can tell you that even the $300k houses are so cheaply made that you would refuse to live in one of you saw them being built.

I've seen stucco being sprayed on exterior "walls" made of Styrofoam (polystyrene), and broken studs toenailed together before the drywall gets hung. That's not even mentioning the number of times I've seen human shit on the floor of the garage.

The number of times these building companies have been sued for breaking building laws would make your head spin. A company in Florida got sued by an entire subdivision because they poured the foundations on the water table and the first rainstorm flooded every house.

It's criminal how much these companies fleece from the American public.
