  • There's lots of little things about current F1 to improve, but sprint races are the most egregious offender. Get rid of sprint races entirely. They were bad when they set the grid for Sunday, they are even worse now that Saturday is essentially its own, separate event.

  • as far as I know, OG Quest support has been fully deprecated with an update very early this year.

I believe it is no longer possible for developers to release new software builds compatible with the OG quest's API level, so even if Valve wanted to support it, they couldn't

  • Sure, why not. The internet is a great tool for discourse and voicing your opinion. However, not being able (or willing) to elaborate your opinion in basic terms alienates other people and is not good netiquette.

  • While quest users can already play steam games using Oculus Link/AirLink or VirtualDesktop (which is a paid app), not having to use metas desktop app sounds like a win to me.

I am also hoping this will finally be an easy way to stream VR games using a Linux system?

  • Game Mill released 5 games so far this year:

    • Avatar The Last Airbender - Quest For Balance
    • Skull Island: Rise Of Kong
    • Dreamworks All-Star Kart Racing
    • Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2
    • The Walking Dead: Destinies

3 of which have been received poorly (Avatar, Rise of Kong and Walking Dead), the other two apparently got a mixed reception, but still reek of shovelware,

Make no mistake, Game Mill is a publisher notorious for pushing out crap shovelware titles. The infamous 2003 game "Big Rigs" was also their doing. Anything they release, should be avoided.

  • I believe the issue is, that they wanted it to be a night race. Las Vegas at night is what their brand is and I can see why they would want to orchestrate it like that.

Currently, sundown on LV is between 4 and 5pm local time, making a night race starting at 7pm local time fully viable. But a GP starting at that time would have resulted in the race being run at 4am in most of europe, 3am for the UK.

So i think there is some merrit to the claim a race start at 10pm local time was a deliberate choice to cater to european viewers. It's much easier to convince someone to maybe wake up an hour earlier on a sunday and watch the race over breakfast than to tell them to get up in the middle of the night.

Personally, I didn't intend to watch the race early in the morning, I just happened to wake up about 20 minutes after lights-out, so I put it on anyways to follow it to the end.
