I mean, I do want cheaper GenAI in the sense that I want people to see that it's dollar store crap that's not worth the electricity to run the servers to make it and give it up like they did the fucking Juicero and every other smart appliance a couple years ago. God yeah caving is such a bad idea unless it's already confirmed safe to be in. In addition to the well-publicized risk of getting stuck in a pocket with the blood pooling to your head, you've got collapses and cave-ins, wild animals, noxious gasses, lack of air circulation, there are so many reasons not to go into a cave you don't already know is safe.

Honestly I can't remember the last time my life was on "Play." I've been stuck in the same job so long it's had two name changes and an acquisition since I started. It's decent money and I can tolerate the work which is largely why I'm still there, because almost everyone I knew when I started has left or been fired. And I'm so afraid that if I leave or get let go I won't be able to find anything else because the job market's been absolute dogshit.

True, but iPads don't have inbuilt controllers, and packing one would inherently make it less portable than a deck. I think if you're making a portable gaming system, your maximum screen size is sharply constrained by the form factor of the controller around it.

Which is entirely intentional on the part of the people who actually run this country. Uneducated citizens who don't or can't think critically are very easy to spoon-feed bullshit against their best interests. Republicans have been openly attacking public education for decades on behalf of Rupert Murdoch and friends, and at the same time parents have been foisting the rearing of their children off on educators because they work two or more jobs to support the household. The community mentality has entirely eroded as a result - nobody will step up to take care of neglected children because everyone's too busy working, educators come under attack from both parents and administration for trying to be anything more than state-sanctioned babysitters, leading to mass resignations, reinforcing the idea that education should be privatized and/or run off of a bullshit voucher system.

America failed a long time ago, it's just a question of who realizes it and who doesn't. If you want to live through the next couple of decades, start building your communities ASAP. Mutual funds, community gardens, canning and other food preservation. Unionize, coordinate, run for office if you think you can hack it.

Yeah, there were two choices, and it might shock you to learn I voted for Harris, just like I voted for Clinton back in 2016. I've been pushing people to the polls ever since, I've done walk-and-knocks, I've gone to town halls. How do you think I know people are disgusted with Democrats?

Democrats continuously fail to establish rapport with their voter base because they're consumed with the idea of 'reaching across the aisle,' and they're reaching across into fascism. Is it any fucking wonder, then, that they can't get votes? I guarantee less than one percent of Conservative voters changed their mind on Kamala because she promised to install Republicans in her cabinet. Democrats are trying to be the diet coke to Republican coke, and guess what? Coke drinkers don't drink diet coke when coke is on the fucking menu, quelle fucking suprise.

First off, I voted for Harris, so you can put your "moral stand" nonsense away; I know damn well how important this shit is. Second, the genocide in Palestine was happening either way and I've spent time and money before and after the election on causes to help Palestinians, because that's way more effective than one measly vote. Can you say the same?

I'm sorry, if a politician sees the polls that say "Don't back genocide" and still pledges to back genocide to pander to the mythical moderate conservative, why are people still obligated to vote for them? Because they're the lesser of two evils? Clearly they don't give a flying fuck what their constituents want.

When they chided "who else are you going to vote for?" In 2016, they got a resoundingly clear answer: "Nobody." But it's supposed to be different now? The Democrats need to step off the stage and progressives need to step up, because it's obvious they can't win elections on being Republican Lite.
