  • I just want to return to a time before the technocracy, and the metricization of everything, before we started caring about clicks and views and the algorithm, for the sake of squeezing every last bit of monetization and efficiency out of everything and everyone.

  • Got a dogshit performance review because I did not conform to the pointless metrics we're judged against, like 'Positivity' and 'Responsiveness' (because I didn't smile every day and I don't answer teams messages after hours.) I hate this job. Fuck capitalism.

  • Shout-out for I'm Glad My Mom Died. It's incredible how McCurdy captured the feeling of constantly walking on eggshells around an NParent, not knowing what would set them off. Also, fuck Dan Schneider.

  • Eh, they're all old, the important stuff is backed up and I have an 8TB SSD for the newer games, I just pop this in because I have the space and overhead and it's like "well, it's lasted this long, might as well."

  • Technically speaking, it's the 2TB platter drive full of games that I've pulled from computer to computer over the last 15 years or so. Everything else has failed or become obsolete, but it's still kicking, miraculously.

  • I'm with you. Hbomberguy said it so many times, you don't accidentally steal someone else's work, and especially not as prolifically as Somerton did. If Somerton wasn't prepared for the consequences of his actions, he shouldn't have stolen literally all his content. And that's not to say that anyone should condone harassment for any reason, but calling someone out on their bullshit isn't harassment.

  • We attempted to use the Reverb G2 for a training sim but their equivalent of ASW wasn't up to snuff. Lots of jumping around between frames. Shame, because the display was really sharp, a good answer to the short-lived Rift S.
