The context is right there, on the gitlab page. They don't want to merge it because it would mean they have to do actual work and spend time testing it, which instead they'd prefer their customers to complain to them about the vulnerability first before doing any of that. Not my words, but theirs.
In my opinion it's a completely different beast. The gameplay is much more fluid and forgiving while still being difficulty, just without all the jank.
NewPipe is also a good alternative if you want to cut Google off your data, it doesn't use accounts and instead subscriptions are kept locally on the device.
You know, this thing does a bunch of stupid stuff, but this one really confuses me, especially because it's supposed to be a language transformer, and it is usually pretty good at English. I thought you were exaggerating your example, but it turns out to be true.
Why did the comedian lose their job to an AI? Because they just couldn't "crack" the code like the AI could! The AI had the audience "programmed" to laugh, while the comedian was left "debugging" their routine. Talk about a real "byte" to the ego!
