  • I've built a pavlovian response to my phone while I'm in bed that instantly puts me to sleep. I started laying down on my side with one headphone on and put a calm show, like an animal documentary or find science channels on YouTube. Turn autoplay off. Lights off. Set up do not disturb, and set so your preferred contacts can reach you if they call twice. This will mute all notifications while giving piece of mind in case is emergency. I also set DND to turn off at 8am.

Eventually I would dose off in say 30 min of watching. After years of routine I dose off in like 10 minutes. In fact if I lay down and try to browse on my phone I get sleepy regardless.

Hardest part is looking for the headphone the morning when I wake up lol.

  • Using Jerboa app on Android...had a rocky start but it has updated a whole lot in the past weeks, getting close to 5/5 probably 3.5/5 right now

Even with reddit I seldomly used the browser on PC, if I'm home and on my PC I generally play games or YouTube/streaming shows rarely browsed reddit on PC

  • No, definitely don't want it to be like reddit with bans and removes. There's a down vote button for a reason, so I think communities moderate themselves with that. Down voted comments will remain, just at the bottom of threads so people can see. I also hate some of the rules regarding what type of questions to post and some posts getting removed because they broke a rule. Again, down votes and comments can steer the OP in the right direction. The only thing I want migrating from reddit is the scope: the fact that every hobby, brand and platform had a universal forum was nice.

  • All my friends would agree with you. But for the $30-40 per person I would much rather have a good steak with sides and dessert or a good Japanese rice bowl. -heck I would probably be able to afford 3 rice bowls!

  • Imagine thinking that Tolkien didn't write Lord of the Rings to make a fighting PS2 game in 2002 and writing an article 20+ years after it's release thinking it's a clever thought. That game is master piece!

I'll write a piece about how the 2004 PS2 game: The Polar Express misses the point of Christmas and collect my pay check.
