  • No matter which age, I think many of us wish we could.

You do you! I’ve met some very interesting older adults. A woman whose hair was still naturally brown in her 70s, another one who was pretty vocal about still feeling 27 in her mind, men in their 70s that still ride motorcycles and so on.

I’m in two minds about aging. They’re just my thoughts, but we’re in a time where elective treatments prolong life or at least QOL, that can be take for granted. OTOH, there are both modifiable risk factors and luck of the draw when it comes to aging.

More than one way of doing things. I’ll probably age disgracefully any way. πŸ˜‚

  • Oh god, yes! πŸ˜‚

Love me the Deftones. Was thinking about them today.

  • That’s what I’m using. There has been a bit of lag with new DDT showing up this week, but otherwise good!

  • They’re an interesting band. I do prefer their heavier stuff, but really dig how surprisingly diverse they are.

  • I, for sure, love your adventurous little stories. πŸ–€

  • Yeah, no, sorry to the Mrs, but honestly sometimes we don’t want to hang out under forced conditions, on the holidays nonetheless. Most of us have probably done it for a number of occasions. Life is just too short at this point to always be accommodating to others when they’re not even somewhat thinking of us.

It might be worth having a good chat with the Mrs to clear the air and try and get on the same page. While I understand that she might not think it’s a big deal, it’s not fair to invalidate your feelings on it. You might agree to disagree, but for sure, if I was expected to be okay with it this time, I would not be doing it again.

  • Now I want bubble tea.

My last one was just literally taro with half a cup of pearls.

    That shiz is a meal.

  • Sorry, but F the fact that there isn’t a place for you to stay when you’re already travelling interstate with a toddler.

AND that it would cost 1k for accommodation and they’re only telling you in November. With the cost of things?

    TF is wrong with people.

  • Hola DDT fam,

    • Lovely night catching up with a beautiful friend.
    • Drinks @ Franklins
    • Music @ the Croxton

It’s a wee bit chilly, but my heart is warm.

    Also, am re-watching Twin Peaks…

    Joan Chen 😍

  • Aww, that sucks, but hopefully another door opening…

  • Oh yeah, Smith Street Woolies is a vibe unto itself.

We all get taken aback sometimes. Sometimes, as awful as it sounds, it can just be a good reality check to ensure that you have your wits about you. It’s not a pleasant thing, but sometimes it’s necessary.

I had an odd experience, not threat-wise, but still bothers me to this day. I think I might have mentioned it some time ago, but I almost willingly handed over $50 to one of those fake monks. I can’t really explain why in the moment, I would have if I hadn’t got pulled away and it was almost as if I was under a sort of spell? When I think back, it was weird like spirituality trust thing, like, oh, you’re a monk, I can give you x dollars and then he pulled out a notepad showing donations of $50 etc. and for some reason I just thought, oh, okay and started to fish out $50…

Reflecting back on it, I don’t know why it still really bothers me. Usually, I’m good with seeing through things like that, but I think it’s weirdly that I felt offended/betrayed that the ploy worked on me because I believe in spirituality of sorts. It was jarring.

  • Honestly, it’s the worst. At this point I can only do obsessive runs.
