Dolphin is an independently created computer program that is circumventing Wii disc encryption for interoperability with Wii software. According to this exemption, this does not constitute infringement under 17 U.S.C. § 1201. This exemption even allows distribution of information collected through circumvention, like encryption keys, if it is for software interoperability.
17 U.S.C. § 1201(f) is a significant legal protection for emulation in the US, and it is why Nintendo has yet to legally challenge any emulator with the DMCA anti-circumvention clauses despite the law going into effect 25 years ago. Unless a court rules that our understanding of the law is incorrect, we have every reason to believe that our decryption of Wii game discs is covered by this exemption.
Their conclusion is that they believe that they fit in the exemption clauses of the DMCA and therefore, they are not breaking the DMCA by including a mechanism or the key. They think that the exemption clause might not apply if the key or decryption mechanism was standalone.
After trying this out on my Anytype, this appears to be a UI bug. Trying to do # # # will actually result in H1. ### is an H3. A "dots divider" appears to be an horizontal line with different UI.
There's some weird stuff for sure but it's also worth mentioning there's many flavours of markdown out there.
Because if the username is a phone number, it is just very convenient. If someone I know switches then I keep the entire conversation with them and just continue. If I want to encourage someone I know, I can just tell them about the features they'll get with Signal rather than trying to sell them a platform which kind of sucks on desktop.
I mean, username vs phone number kinda doesn't matter anymore since it doesn't even do SMS anymore. This is probably the most popular change they could do and which has the least consequences on bloat.
I wish I could be excited for this but after no longer being able to use it for SMS and shoving crypto in it... Well, I just don't wanna use Signal anymore :(
I mean, gender is a social construct so I'd really say that everything is unnecessarily gendered because gender itself and gender norms are not necessary.
But if that's not quite what you were looking for - then probably language. As a French man, it is my duty to trash on French so, French has gendered nouns so any object you know has a gender associated for some awful reason. Some job titles don't have female equivalent and don't even get me started on trying to speak or write in a gender neutral fashion in French, ugh! (I still do it to the best of my efforts and encourage others to try to use French in a gender neutral fashion but it is hard)

It will likely never be federated because the server doesn't know what it never sent. If we wanted to fix that as well, it would require to look at every server we federate with and all the messages they could've received and if it's in their database.
