  • Yeah, I live in a small town, so I don't think I can find that.

I had a therapist once who I thought was going to help me, but then one day he suddenly went on a racist rant about MLK Day, unprompted. Then I had one who was pretty good, but eventually I just got discouraged. Just thinking about trying again gives me anxiety, and I'm literally a LGBT+ person with trauma lol

  • LibreOffice is a breath of fresh air. Watching things go more cloud-based and/or using the gross "SAAS" model, it's really nice to have software that does everything I need it to do without all the bullshit.

I was told I needed Microsoft Office when I was in college for my masters. I bought it but never used it, because LibreOffice just worked better.

  • I hate it when my eyebrows declare war against each other

  • The eternal barrier is actually finding access to a psychiatrist, or even a therapist for that matter

  • Ikr who'd leave it all spiky like that?

  • Yeah, I think some people got really distracted by the fact they saw the names of some YouTubers on the image. That's why I replaced it with one that obscured the user names.

I think their line of thinking goes something like: "I like this YouTuber, therefore they can do no wrong" -- which is really odd logic to me. Some people don't realize that actions can be bad without the person being bad overall.

  • I unironically like your comments and posts.

Sorry pal, but them's just cold hard facts. The truth hurts.

  • Hey, I was trying to talk you up

  • I'm raging so hard right now

  • In this place where I live, even every act of compassion is a form of resistance

  • Yeah, much as I'd like to participate, I'm scared into being a scab. Life is hard enough as it is.

  • Oh that sounds promising! I'll have to check it out

Also, I love your username. I have two shiba inu.

  • I'm so sorry. I can only imagine the pain.

We have the ability to provide access to basic healthcare to our citizens, but we choose not to. And we have very few politicians who support universal healthcare. It's unconscionable.

  • Yes, but the patient didn't present with a dog lick, and I doubt it was even a consideration to begin with. "Dog lick shuts down man's organs!!!!!!1!!1!" just gets views. It's not really honest imo.

  • But then it still doesn't make sense to lead with the dog lick. Clearly, there were symptoms. I doubt they rushed someone to the ER immediately after a dog licked them. That's absurd.

  • But the presenter already knows the details. We're not livestreaming the event lol

Anyway, I've changed the post to omit the channel names. It's this whole style of presentation that I oppose. Even major news outlets started doing this at some point because they learned that it gets clicks. I find it ethically questionable, but clearly you disagree.

  • It's darkly twisted to envision a situation in which catching a grenade for someone would be warranted.

Seems less than ideal in that the person you're protecting would have to live with the trauma of witnessing that for the rest of their life.
