Sure, but this isn't even asking for perfect. I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of willing choosing to let your cat go potentially kill things while preaching a vegan diet. It comes across extremely disingenuous.

I'd say letting your cat be outside and killing animals they don't even eat isn't minimizing much. Keeping them inside would minimize more.
