  • It's an explicit "opt-out" by the OP, such that their content cannot (legally) be used to train LLMs or such (Chat GPT, Github Copilot, etc)

Well, that's what I assumed until i read the license terms. It doesn't explicitly mention AI or LLMs, but it does say

You may not use the material for commercial purposes

Which i assume has the same limitations for AI training, for commercial AI

    (I am not a lawyer)

  • While i also disagree with python's tendency to use exceptions as control flow

Python is a pretty stellar scripting language. I wouldn't use it for app dev, but it's quite handy for the odd automation or CLI task

  • There is value to having the conversation about "holding on for too long". But...

But, "euthanasia vs palliative care" is a conversation that must be between you (the owner) and your vet

It's possible that there are other, addressable reasons for being unable to make it to the litter box, and a vet visit is necessary to identify and address these issues

As well, it's possible that it is indeed "time". A conversation with the vet is best

  • I'm pretty sure he maintains the YT channels themselves, but he has a host of writers who write his scripts

The two Channels / Podcasts I follow are Decoding the Unknown (deep dives into unsolved mysteries and paranormal debunks) and the Casual Criminalist (true crime)

For both, he does a cold read, and often interjects with his own stories and theories

  • This is true

Although, i find this isn't as much an issue if you use python's STL as much as you can

Pathlib and shutil are really handy for file manips

But, yea interfacing with external CLI utilities like git is a PITA

Oh there's also xonsh which is just a shell built put of python

  • I've gone full linux both at home and at work. Thankfully, most of the tools we use are cross platform / FOSS. But in the odd case, I use KVM (the linux equivalent to Hyper-V) to spin up a windows VM

It has it's issues (like graphics card pass-through), but it works pretty well

  • When cats do this (complain that the bottom of the bowl is empty), it's typically because they don't want to shove their face (and wiskers) into the edges of the bowl

    Its called "wisker stress"

A shallower bowl (or just a small plate) is usually more comfortable for them to eat off of

Alternatively, they might paw the food out of the bowl then eat it off the floor, for the same reason
