Genuinely curious, is there any major tech companies that haven't done this? Our info is plastered everywhere nowadays due to this type of crap.

I have a good one. Someone I work with once recorded his boss saying "if I cold fire you I would" later on down the line that someone became his boss and set his ringtone as that part of the conversation. There's nothing he can say to HR without getting himself in much worse trouble. Funny enough the dickhead one is my boss but the funny one is closer to the team.

While I agree it should be 100% legal across the board someone made a good point. Once it's rescheduled we could see it be classified at a medicine and ban recreational use then they'll shoot the price through the roof re-opening the black markets. It's worth treading carefully while we learn future plans that aren't being spoken of loudly enough.

What's the issue, the line? Honestly looks fine if that's the case. I don't see anything else that sticks out but maybe in person it's more noticeable

If and of, in and on, so and no, these words keep getting corrected for eachother when it shouldn't. I've tried resetting auto correct to make sure I didn't teach it to do that.

Honestly, lemmy isn't that welcoming. Read through comments and you'll notice most of them are kinda snarky and rude. Look at no stupid questions (idk the name of "subreddits") you ask a serious questions and almost none of them are on topic just people giving you shit for asking. If you have tech problems it's "install linux,degoogle,stay away from that brand" for someone new reading through them they'll probably leave because of the toxic community.

Haven't you been posting this exact thing on every article about this crash? I'm pretty sure I've seen loads of people even combing through and pointing out the flaws in your original argument.

Franky I don't really care but you could just be annoying the shit out of everyone and that's why you're attacked with downvotes (as if that matters). You do you it's not my place to tell someone how to go about their life. I just wanted to add some perspective as a non bias party

Not a chance that's gonna last. The next step is you must buy 3,6, or 12 months at a time. We already have streaming services doing channels and ad breaks. Cableless TV will be the circle completing.

Maybe, maybe not. The problem that skews this thought is you didn't have 24/7 news coverage shoved in your face from tv and social media. You wouldn't know if it were happening unless it was local to your town or it gained national coverage.

There's a big difference though. Making people yell is not the same as an ad being shown similar to a screen saver. Hard to believe but most people will just not care and those who do won't care enough to do much about it. There's a reason ads have become to main stream and normal they're yielding results the companies want.

A great example of how the mass majority of people not caring is look at the reaction to password sharing. Sure many people made a stink yet every single on of the platforms saw growth.

Has that not always been how it goes? There was a time where the joke was "what can you say at both _____ and _____" because it was posted to absolute death. I know there's been loads of stuff like that so is that not the same as to what's going on? Is it not just a meme?

There is a randomly generated password you get when you freeze it. DONT LOSE IT!! Its a bitch to recover if you do. One of them gives you a list of like 25 different ones you can use (you just type one of the 25 from the list)

I'd laugh and walk away shaking my head. It's a kinda hard to explain but it's them being in that situation thing. If my brother or sister did I'd be fine not really react as it's not a big deal.

Honestly I think a big part of people looking at headlines and pictures is closely related to people's attention span. Why read many words when less is better. Those same people can't hold conversations for more than a minute or two on the subject then it spirals into speculations which is where the misinformation starts to take place. Society is bombarded with so much information hour by hour people don't want to miss anything so they skim through an immense amount of partial information. It's wild and I'm guilty of it myself so I'm in no place to speak ill of anyone.

Well being obnoxious is the entire point of it but if they're annoying you then they're doing their job. If they're annoying your neighbors then they're doing their job. They are for getting attention of people in the area by annoying them or their curiosity.

That's because they know how highly valued she is and they wouldn't want to increase a teachers pay when they could instead line their own pockets with that money. It's an on going issue nationwide. After I left high school they let every single beloved teacher go and replaced them all with lower paid ones. The next budget meeting someone from the community asked them why the SI got a pay raise of $15k but they ended the meeting without an answer this was 10 years ago and now the position is nearly matched with the high schools entire budget....
