  • I learned with Google music never get involved with Google with something you'll want to use daily. Google music hands down was the absolute best music service I've ever used. Google is like a kid with ADHD bouncing around from project to project never to see them through.

  • I disagree. Lemmy is a very small group of individuals and these type of threads are going to have similar minded people finding eachother. In the grand scheme of things we are next to nothing in scale of the billions of people on this planet.

  • Lots of reasons to enjoy having a Playstation. Having a full PC setup is expensive when you factor in more than just the case build. It's nice to have something you can boot up and get right into. Everyone acts like their system is superior but the superior system is whatever one best suits your needs. I personally would absolutely love a PS5 varient that didn't require internet and just let me play my single player games in peace.

  • You're absolutely right about most of it. My only criticism is the first paragraph as I am notorious for just commenting and not responding. Literally if you reply I won't respond lol but I can't imagine I'm the only one. A better way to sniff them out would be profiling them and finding things like hobby subs where they would be significantly more likely to comment vs addiction subs where they may feel some shame in interacting or engaging in their addiction.

I'm pretty stupid so I could be talking out my ass but I figured input for data collection and such.

  • Nope. If people having been living the exact same without changing many of their habits then it is absolutely fair that they would also be struggling paycheck to paycheck. They're effected just as the rest are. We need to focus on the jackass causing us to turn on eachother. We shouldn't be comparing ourselves because there are people who consider 30k/y as living lavish and think they also shouldn't be complaining.

  • I rarely ever need a browser for work but damn I opened it the other day to search some stuff and nearly every single article was so covered in ads I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be reading. 2 sides bars, an floating over head, an ad across the bottom, and some weird floating one that follows as you scroll. How are people not using ad blocks

  • Thank you for this advice! I spoke with them and they were able to help me by sending me home with a plan. I really appreciate your advice because I was really defeated over this.

  • I'm not sure the laws and such but I only have the insurance because I have a 6y/o who does need medications and regular visits. Though we got a letter letting us know they will no longer be covering them. We have insurance through my wife who has to have it in order to cover our daughter and to add me isn't much more so that's the only reason I even have it.

  • Could you imagine taking an old school Square body and making lighter with the very basic modern amenities like power windows and MAYBE a basic touch screen radio. I know aerodynamics and safety are why they aren't around but find a way to make it work and that stuff would sell to some of the more stubborn people. Like you said strip all the nonsense out and make it basic.

  • I tried calling around. The cheapest is $40/session and could range from 10-20 sessions due to how bad it is. I don't have the spare money for that. I make $120 at the end of the month and I can't even save that most of the time due to surprise expenses all the time.
