  • Everyone in the U.S. calls it Australia that I know, some other countries do as well.

Wikipedia lists it as Australia for us as well. (All textbooks did here)

The reasoning we were taught is that Continents were large land masses, which Oceania unlike the other 6, isn't really a landmass so much, rather just the name of the tectonic plate.

  • Unless they didn't pay attention they were taught it here in the U.S.

No one should be able to make a logical leap from the way people refer to hitler in the U.S. to anything attempting at equality or socialistic.

There are 2 seperate terms that are taught here that could confuse people though. State and Australia. Using the term state for a U.S. state like Utah or New York is somehow different than using the term state to define Germany or Pakistan. (Generally we are taught just to call them countries)

Australia on the other hand is taught to be a Country, and a Continent. Other places teach it under the name Oceania I believe which could confuse people. Saying New Zealand is in Australia would be both right and wrong. It is a part of the Australian continent, not a part of the country.

  • Damnit...I'm in. The ability to make someone believe they have to go to the bathroom really bad but when they get there, nothing was really there. Someone starts to annoy you while you're out somewhere, poof. They go a scuttling.

  • Gotta hope they check your pulse right or they might just bury you after a few years. Imagine trying to figure out where you could lay down for 10 years. Immediately got overwhelmed thinking about paying rent and all the work I'd miss. House over run by plant life and roof started leaking until the black mold set in and half of the house collapsed on you laying there.... yikes

  • So I've been trying to work out the part where I keep getting partially phased into brick walls. The double jump appears to be not meshing well with the engine. Never happens with stone walls, wood, nor any others... just brick.

  • Same bullshit as always. No one will end up paying an amount that will "re-pay" sufficiently. Instead it just goes back to hoping tech advancments move us to cleaner energy quickly.

(Aka. If they were going to pay x per footprint, they instead would pay x/y)

  • More likely it would just get negotiated that costs needed to be less per emissions and then they had x years to make efforts to prove they are mitigating as much as possible. And the same old shit would carry on as it is right now.

(Not saying this is what I want, just that this is how it seems)

  • Measure by emissions within your country. If China allows a company to operate within their borders they are responsible for said fees. Pass the fees to those companis if you wish, but they are their lands. The companies will move elsewhere if the fees are to high or find alternative ways to do business producing less emissions. It really isn't tough to figure out.
