Sometimes people are just hateful. A Christian I worked with was always very forward and speaking of god at least once a day. I lived in Panama City Beach in 2018 when Hurricane Michael came through. The storm turned to the East at the last minute and PCB they had been told to evacuate (many evacuated into Panama City being it wasn't told to evacuated which is to the East). Base of the story, PC got hit harder than PCB. Several times I heard that coworker saying he hoped another hurricane came and hit PCB (where he lived as well) because he didn't believe the people there had learned "gods lesson."
He didn't care how many people lost their homes and jobs.
In my experience, most chain restaurants back of house line cooks get paid fairly low. So let's say the highest paid linecook gets 18 an hour. They work 8 hours and make $144 that day before taxes and it is added to their check. Most of the servers in the front of house would make around $150 as well but they worked less hours. (Usually 5-6 hours). They also walk with the tip money at the end of the night. Then they claim what they wish to because the government can't prove how much you made in tips. Many claim they made far less, others claim what they made for other reasons.
It is common to see servers make twice what cooks do. Which creates an atmosphere where front/back of house don't get along all the time either.
I heard newborns try to take advantage of our taxes and use socialism! They force people to take time off work and apply for various assistances! Then they grow up and try to take our jobs!!
I'd view that as Pence was on the right side of the coup? Maybe I'm reading that wrong.
He validated the votes and made sure the office was turned over to the person who won the election.
He has shit views on most things, but he did the right thing on that day it seems.
Only if it's whole milk, if it's skim milk that there is lesser milk. I once saw a man drink that and his dick fell off. Need at least 3 of them milks for a iphone.
Been while since I bought waxed paper, is it cheaper than parchment paper? I'm assuming it must be or why wouldn't you just use parchment paper instead?
MF is your choice of term to open discussion with someone on a topic you disagree on? Surely this is going to get your audience to be open to accept your views/input.
Edit: the discussion likely is about your use case of the term free
Reminds me of the bill Desantis signed in Florida a few months back making it so gas powered vehicles HAVE to be purchased from a dealer and cannot be purchased directly from the manufacturer. Telsa doesn't get hit by that bill, surely has nothing to do with Desantis owning a Tesla.
Somebody who isn't a giant asshat loudly trying to manipulate the populace's political opinions.
Otherwise they would know.
Being famous isn't always a good thing.
Now if you asked who were the lead engineers/designers for said vehicles it would mean more about the vehicle itself (but most everyone wouldn't have looked them up or found their names)
That part it sounds as if they get. I believe what they are saying is if you have an instance of 1,000 users that is sick of rick and morty, that gets federated with a instance of 20,000 users that really love rick and morty, now their instance sees 20,000 active users posting rick and morty memes and jokes in every comment thread. Thats where the whole "they brigade" concept comes from. The 20k users will push their hivemind onto the 1,000 until they either stop logging in or block that instance from their user. Which now every comment thread says 300 comments but when they open it actually has less than 15.
I played Sniper Elite 5 on my fiances Xbox the other day and hadn't played games in forever. (34 years old now) I knew I could remap the buttons if needed, but the melee button they made Y. I pressed down the right stick every damn time as a built in reaction from years back.
I don't know why I felt I needed to say that, but I tell you when you find yourself looking through binoculars and getting lit up at point blank range it reminded me how frustrating games can get during quick scenarios.
I'm glad to see people talking about things that aren't positive here really. I was curious at first how much echo chamber this was going to have and the underlying obvious point that well... people who didn't like lemmy as much either:
A. Aren't going to take the time to respond to this post or
B. Won't see the post because they are gone already.
