  • Is eat the rich generally a call for violence? I actually don’t really know what people mean when they say this.

  • Where’s your proof?

  • Would be better to plan this a little farther out but I am already on a permanent boycott so I support this obviously.

  • What problems?

  • So you want him to become more tolerant, is that your goal?

  • I don’t think it’s always necessary or even helpful to sever relationships solely because someone has toxic political beliefs.

I would think more in terms of what problems do you see with this relationship and what actions, if any could potentially solve these problems? What are you trying to achieve by ending this relationship?

  • Humans evolved in the tropics. You’re just weird. It’s OK to be weird but you have kind of a strange superiority complex about it.

  • I usually put comments like this in quotations to make it clearer that I’m not endorsing the heinous statement.

I mean I get what you were saying but lots of people like to misinterpret things so it’s just easier to make it super obvious.

  • I am not sure they will get away with that but the national forests I am most worried about. They just appointed a timber lobbyist to head the USFS and I’m assuming we can kiss our nation’s forests goodbye unless there is a serious public effort to preserve them.

  • They won’t do it themselves. They can’t. They’ll just offer a worse forecast.

  • Oh I’ve got the link, but it’s paywalled. I’ll find the full paper later.

  • You gonna sue the NYT Musky?

Remember these faces. I wanna see the fascists exiled from polite society.

  • I didn’t read the post (sorry, it was too long and I’m tired) but the fediverse is equally suited to federated islands as to one fediverse, right? Most people will want the full fediverse but people can also create their separate spaces if desired.

  • Thanks, this seems more in line with what I was wondering. But I’ll need to see if I can get access to the full paper. The example given in Australia actually fits my hypothesis since they historically lacked felid predators. So I’d like to see the full list to see the location and severity of the effects they’re reporting.

  • Some more than others. I’m not saying it’s a good thing. I’d prefer we had less power over the world but the current geopolitical order exists with the US at the top. Or do you disagree?

  • I guess you are going off of the genus Felis which is probably valid since I expect their hunting behavior is similar enough. However the map I saw showed they were absent from most of Russia and China, so there are exceptions.

  • Again it would depend on where those are—threatened species are disproportionately located on those islands I mentioned. Furthermore it doesn’t assign any causation to cat predation.

Maybe cats are a serious conservation threat on continental areas but I’m just saying I haven’t seen evidence of this.

  • Thanks, I assumed they were centrally created but if they are user customizable this does make it a bit more appealing, although at that point it’s not hugely different from the way subscriptions work now. Could have some use cases though.

  • Sounds like you deserve downvotes but I think it’s best to place them where they are earned, not just blindly downvote every post based on the user.

I found this article useful. We need to keep tabs on what the wannabe dictators are doing in order to oppose them.
