I'm not Christian anymore, but the modern bible never "disowns" the old testament. Maybe there were books written around Jesus' time that got eradicated with the gnostics. There was a real debate over whether or not Jesus was a rebirth of God or just a manifestation of God though. I mean OT God is kind of a bastard, dude literally drowned almost every living thing on the planet, would tell parents to get on the verge of killing their children as "faith tests". In comparison, NT God and Jesus are far more loving than pretty much anything we see in the OT.

I'm skipping over a lot of things because her legacy is fucking huge. An extremely famous game developer who has been extremely important to the history of the craft.

It's just the first real event of a movie to happen since COVID. Huge, vibrant production targeted at the 20-30 age group. It also popped up fairly organically. There have been memes of people getting dressed up to go to the movies like minions, but Barbie was the first movie where I saw it pop up through people excited through the movie. It's not a perfect movie, but it's a social event the likes we haven't seen in 3-4 years so people are going crazy.

I gotcha! My horny jail comment was a joke, horny jail is just a funny concept to me, not trying to make you feel bad about a post or anything. I find the post funny. I'm also not a mod, just someone that tries to be articulate about things that are troublesome to the community as a whole since I've been on 196 and adjacent communities for quite a while and know the things that will cause stirs long term.

I'm certainly never gonna make some meta post about anybody, but regardless of what the post is about or where it is, I don't think anybody ever wants to be the subject of a metapost because they were shitposting. I just let people know about the small things that have unexpectedly blown up into big things in the past. It's not fun for anybody.
