Who said they don't want to disarm the government and the rich?

So the other side votes for politicians who directly make the rich richer, and you think we should stop bickering so that they'll join us in eating the rich? Something tells me this plan might hit a snag.

You're literally whining about stealing in the two next comments.

Do you think Nazis advocated for totalitarianism and genocide before they came to power? It was gradual and dog whistled, just like those 5 to 10 Republicans are doing today.

I'd say the only thing that has been so thoroughly beaten into people's minds is what you're having trouble getting past; the myth that the Nazis went full insane before they had total power.

The truth is that it was just like today: demonizing all minorities and blaming them for all of society's problems while downplaying the calls for, and acts of, violence.

We're seeing 1920 to 1932 Nazi party, attempted takeover and all, and those of us who see it for what it is are trying to stop them from becoming post-1932 Nazi party, the one you're afraid of.

I think directly funding a genocidal regime is functionally the same. Like if a friend told me he'd kill people if only he had a gun and then I give him the gun I would be complicit.

Care to point out the differences between the far right republican party and the Nazi party?

I mean in real life. I've only run into tankies on Lemmy and Reddit but Nazis are straight up infiltrating conservative politics.

North Korea calls itself democratic, does that make it so? No.

Tankies are not Communists, they're authoritarian fascists. About as communist as North Korea is democratic.

The only issue is that I'll see perfectly logical socialist, communist or anarchist arguments get attacked as "tankie" and I worry that all this hullabaloo is just rightists trying to set back leftist ideology by painting it all as tankie ideology.
