  • It isn't something many Americans would be familiar with nor on the front of their mind to use as an expression. That individual is likely Chinese or has an unusual interest in 19th-century Chinese history for an American. There is no need to be a smug asshole about basic facts.

  • Transmen do face discrimination, and it's often times violent, though you're correct, they generally aren't the focus. I think that there are a couple of factors at play with the focus on transwomen. The first factor is, from their point of view, transwomen are viewed as an attack on masculinity, both as a rejection of "traditional" masculinity and the "scary" thought that they might be attracted to a transwoman. Furthermore, there is an often unspoken acknowledgment among transphobes of different stripes that men are inherently dangerous, that their violence is barely contained by the rigid structures of society. In this world view, a transwoman is both rejecting her masculinity while also attempting to subvert the structures of society to act out on her violent masculine impulses. It's contradictory, moronic, and plain wrong in the assumptions made, but that is their world view.

  • I just saw one two nights ago. They're just what many people would call "ugly," look dirty, and they get into trash and whatnot. I'm my experience, they're less aggressive than racoons, so I don't mind them. Really, people should properly secure their trash anyhow.

  • I have to agree with them on this one. Colonizers do not have the right to create an ethnostate and commit geonicide just because some other white people committed geonicide against them. Furthermore, support for zionism is pretty well rooted in antisemitism. Essentially, it's "get those jews out of here!"

  • Welp.

  • I understand what you meant now, apologies. I thought it was a dig.

The person I was responding to said "most Americans," and I was responding to that statement. It is difficult for most Americans to immigrate anywhere, unless they have skills/knowledge that the country they are attempting to move to is having trouble filling or independent wealth. Perhaps soon, we'll be able to claim refugee status or political asylum, but I certainly hope it doesn't get there.

  • I'll be honest, I'm often less inclined to go to the lengths many would go to satisfy their libido. I guess if I ever decide to date again, I'll be sure not to date anyone who has an affinity for bad dragon because used sex toys is definitely a hard no from me.

  • The tariff go around happened last time, which is how we ended up with the NAFTA replacement. The "51st state" nonsense was projected previously, which is more about his ego and his belief that he has a lot of support in Canada.

Edit: I suppose I should expect reality to be offensive to people at this point, yet I'm still surprised. That's my fault. Continue living in fantasy land, ya'll, and I won't interfere with the truth again.
