  • Maybe inversely because of the increased heat of the tightly packed components.

  • Maybe to you, but with a proper algorithmic analysis of the sounds differences can be fingerprinted and differentiated.

  • In my experience, room encryption is opt-in and permanent for a room.

    • AGPL-only is a license, I didn't want to misrepresent the license by being general. I was just trying to say that it is surprising that a fully open source application like signal has a large user base.
    • PFS isnt enabled by default for group chats and generally feels messy as the end user to deal with. I was unaware that they have properly implemented it for group chats as well.
    • My point about metadata still stands. Matrix still does not protect metadata (one eg: reactions to messages are in unencrypted).
  • Matrix doesn't protect metadata, which is arguably just as (if not more) important than message data. Signal by contrast does protect metadata and proper implements Perfect Forward Secrecy for all chats. I do think Signal's centralized design and phone number requirements problematic, but Signal still has many merits. Such as its massive user base for a AGPL-only project.

  • Thx. You are a nerd. I appreciate that.

  • I close all my tabs many times a day. Probably would be about 50-150+ a day if I didn't tho lol

  • Its not piped's fault, it is an arms race between google and projects that block ads.

  • Undoubtedly.

  • I didn't watch the video, it may be a good one idk.

I want to spread the word, exurb1a is a sexual abuser. Through on unethical/illegal psychological "experiment", Alex (exurb1a) manipulated an autistic woman named Pieke and SA her. The details of the experiments is awful. He has tried hard to silence the Pieke, other victims, and their supporters.

  • Odd. Things continue to improve, maybe it has gotten better? The majority of issues/glitches ive experienced on Linux while gaming have been glitches present on Windows too. Out of my library, there are no games that are outright unplayable on Linux, and 1 game that I need to host lobbies to play multiplayer. I tend to get better performance on Linux as well.

I recommend for anyone considering Linux for gaming, look at ProtonDB to see if your fav games are playable or require workarounds. I find it rare that I actually need to look anything up.

  • Public domain audiobooks too like LibriVox!

  • A different user profile would be better on GOS.

  • Island doesnt block main profile contact snooping by an app in the work profile. I recommend shelter for anyone who isnt set on either.

  • Holy Shit! I did a little research and the C language is used by SOO many open and closed source applications, at least some bits of C code in basically ever OS, and it simplifies the barrier of entry so Devs dont need to learn Java/Python/COBOL/etc!!

  • Had to look it up. No projects that I could find. OpenHarmony seems cool, especially the microkernel architecture.

  • It isn't that artists are "less creative" and that is why they are being out-competed. What I was saying is AI can do it so much quicker and at such a low cost to companies. Music making is a long and (often) tedious processes.
