  • I like woody sort of words. Bound, prudy, recidivist. Erogenous zone, loose woman... concubine! Errrogenous zooooone!

Funny thing, dear. All the naughty words sound woody.

E: It appears I have misread the question. But I'll leave my Monty Python reference here.

  • It's actually very useful. All these negative comments have the hallmarks of people who don't generally use it. I can tell because the criticisms stem from a lack of familiarity, missing the point.

  • That's a common misconception by people who never used it. The truth is you need to know CSS to use Tailwind. Just because it simplifies styling doesn't mean it simplifies the underlying technology.

  • “the wages are better”

I had a USian tell me this here while on vacation. It took a moment for me to realize he was so deep in privilege that he was practically swimming in it not having to think about everything that's happening in the US right now for some goddamn money.

  • Two US Democratic state* senators from Minnesota were just assassinated by a MAGAt impersonating a cop who carried with him a hit list of 50 other senators he was going to kill. This is not outside the realm of possibilities in this day and age.

  • Yes, it used to be somewhat like this, but never to this degree. Ever since money flooded US politics, a lot of millionaires have inflated their heads to believe their duty is to meddle in politics. They didn't waste any time to push legislation in their favor through lobbying, bribery, and even running for office. It's no coincidence massive tax cuts are being given to them, do that the burden ultimately falls on the rest of us.

This isn't just a money pull, but a rug pull along with it, and it's been in the making for decades.
