I don't think you're wrong. I do think a good movie would be more profitable than a bad one. I wouldn't show my kid this movie out of principle, because I happen to be of a generation that cares about this franchise. I wouldn't buy any merch, toys, or clothes either. I'm sure some would, but I feel strongly that this movie won't generate the profits they want, and it'll be specifically because they made something terrible.
Loud and stupid are affectionate descriptors from my friends. I also struggle with volume after being too quiet for my early years and overcompensating in the later ones.
Agreed. Crystals, manifestation, astrology etc. is such a stupid thing for people to feel mentally superior over others for. Being a jackass and bullying people for wanting to believe in something like luck is mentally weak. Science doesn't save a mind from its own ignorance.
Find a better term than GMO to describe what makes food suck. You might as well be saying that science makes food suck. Like...yeah, sure, sometimes. But that's incredibly vague and accomplishes nothing for you.
Capitalism has a historical tendency of imperializing all over the place and sabotaging other systems. It did not earn its spot as "best", despite what capitalistic propaganda would have you believe.
Plenty of powerful people know these things. The profit motive makes these things hard to care about. We will continue like this until options are gone.
Tipping actually exists because it was an effective way to avoid paying newly freed slaves a fair wage. We just kept kept doing it because it became "what has always been done".
I cannot stress enough how efficiently you ruined my ability to use the memory trick.
