  • i got in trouble with them, when i was pointing out how israel/aipac has bought off many of the DEMs and gop, and then also said they are also responsible for funding/censoring protests of gaza in the universities when i was referring to SEINFELD and her wife funding censorship both being of that demographic, they essentially accused me of being anti-semitic. in politics.world

  • we have enzymes to prevent oxygen radicals from forming. such as Superoxide dismutase, which is present in nearly every cell in our body, and we have 3 different version. most oxygen dependant organisms have similar enzymes.

    another fun fact, our immune system can produce the same superoxide as a defense against bacterial infections, reactive oxygen species including radical oxygen. but bacteria can produce the enzyme to neutralize that too.

    i think the dietary source, is somewhat alittle homeopathic/ pseudosciency, because our stomach acid would probably neutralize any beneficial effect before we can absorb it. of course there are some foods that provide nutrional benefit to certain cells(if they a chemical compound). but they dont have like anti-oxidant effect of something like superoxide dismutase. also because of this effect, people with chronic illness as a result of the dysfunction.

  • yea the smell of almonds is H-CN being produced, its nowhere enough to become toxic to people. i remember theres a video about lemurs getting high off of the millipedes secretion, i assume its hydrogen cyanide.

  • that is true, because reddit currently makes it very hard to even moderate a sub reddit, they ban new ones very easily, if not immediately. the only problem is lemmy doesnt have the traffic that reddit has for a specific niche.

  • Yes people practically have to lie on their stem resume to get the job , since stem is notoriously hard to get into job wise. I'm not surprised. I followed a former classmate on LinkedIn and he was purposely adding 1 year for ever half a year he was still in college to his experience
