I'm not really arguing that the US doesn't have a horrible history or that it isn't currently a force for evil. I'm trying to encourage more nuance and accuracy in the arguments of my fellows because those are the areas where they appear to lack the most. There are communities of people who think critically but are put off from leftist arguments by those flaws and thus are insulated from the underlying truth.

Capitalism is defined by the relationship of the employer and employee. Slaves aren't employees. You're just lumping every bad thing under "capitalism."
