  • These are the people who attacked America on 9/11. They agreed to help Bush in his war so we didn't attack them.

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would say that the US worked with them closely before 9/11 and then enacted pre-written legislation immediately after the attack that our intelligence agencies knew was coming. Everybody in the middle was doing their job but our senior representatives never acted on the intelligence that was available. So now Saudi gets special treatment.

  • Good! They saved me when I was charged for an ER visit. I'm a veteran so they legally have to charge the government. That didn't stop equafax from ruining my credit despite my legally correct explanation. The consumer financial protection bureau put them in their place and I'm back to perfect credit.

  • If he was smart he would double down up until he lost the election because that is the big bluff, and when he loses he should shut up and let his lawyers try to fix stuff.

But he's not smart and this is going to be spectacular to watch.

  • I listened a little bit when he interviewed Clarence the mushroom guy? I'm sure somebody can make sense of that. Lol. How he presented then was that he was a meathead that just wanted to understand and was willing to ask the dumb questions. I heard some of his other stuff around that time and it followed that same feeling. Heck, I even watched the Elon musk interview when he smokes pot. He was never bright or understood anything well enough to honestly judge that he took a side (he's been hit in the head a lot) but hearing what he's saying now is crazy. He probably still doesn't understand that he's taken a side. He probably is just within the target audience of Fox News and there have been studies about its efficiency in delivering propaganda in a way that you need professional help to counter. He's just another useful idiot. That's how that side works apparently.

  • He is doing 57 months because he is serving for multiple crimes simultaneously.

Police who violate the law should not be allowed anything but the maximum sentence non-concurrent with other crimes.

But cops protect those who have power and those who have power. Don't want to piss off the cops so here we are.

  • I hear you. I was in the army when 9/11 happened so I didn't have a choice but to be involved in the response. I was ready to show how I had trained against the Saudis who attacked us so when all of the units plans changed to Iraq, my opinion about 9/11 and all of the ongoing US propaganda for it kind of changed.

Now it's over 20 years later and after having deployed three times I have lost more of my friends to poverty and health related suicide (thank you, department of veterans affairs) I would say that the poor suffered more in 2008 then we did as a nation from that attack. America needs us to remember that small attack so that we can maintain endless wars in countries which are proxy, fights and training grounds for our soldiers. We shouldn't be killing people. We should be focused on making sure the billionaires aren't crashing the economy in cycles in order to profit from our endless labor.

9/11 should be remembered for the horrific act that it was, but the cult following that it turned into is wrong. How many people died in terrorist attacks in American history and how many people have had their liberties deprived by police, especially if they are the wrong color? Worse things are happening every day. We need to be distracted though.

  • This is a very interesting topic. I actually studied and wrote about it in the 3 months that I was at Harvard before I dropped out. 🤣

Essentially, all of history was taught as it was written from the Kings or rulers. So all of history starts with king blah blah blah and this is what happened. That is how history was recorded through most of US presidents as well. " This is what Lincoln did" is how we learned it in high school.

Only in the past 20 or so years (somebody correct me) have the original documents of citizens and people's been meta analyzed in a way that we can see history from other (non-white, non-ruler) perspectives.

This, I think, runs right next to CRT and why the right wing and is so concerned about controlling the history books and libraries right now. I think their think tanks are trying to prevent a more accurate version of history from being accepted. I'm not 100% sure about this loose connection though.

Just an accusation from a random guy on the internet.

  • *Some colonists. Probably not an important distinction, but we should remember history as people loosely coming together instead of always together in a solid decision that way we can understand things like January 6th or the war on Iraq better. In history we have followed our leaders even into bad situations. Saying fuck you to England was a good choice though. 😁

  • He's eating his children! I knew this day would come I just didn't expect it to be so obvious! He needs engagement so he is going to incite people to say crazy things and then they are going to get in trouble and never be able to get a hold of him. He's just literally fucking with the US government right now. I don't know why but I think Musk is flexing his political strength in a way that he doesn't realize will destroy him.

  • Yeah but somebody who won't even talk to Republicans maybe the indicator of a long-standing mental health issue. I have been arrested protesting and have been in three wars and I'm very liberal about my constitutional rights. But I still talk to my republican neighbors.
