  • Bruh, you ain't gonna win shit in a fight against dudes using drones and armored vehicles and etc etc. I get the thought though and it isn't all wrong, violence can be an effective means of changing the political landscape.

Having some common sense gun regulation isn't a bad thing, and I say that as a person who owns firearms. It shouldn't be easier to get a tool literally designed for killing than getting a driver's license to operate a motor vehicle which can be turned into a tool for killing (accidentally or otherwise).

Most guns in school shootings were obtained legally, obviously there's some problems there especially when we're the only country on the planet dealing with this.

The state has and maintains a monopoly on legal violence. That's never changing even if everyone in this country is strapped.

I'm all for responsible gun ownership but there needs to be more laws and regulations around it. School shootings are tragic and avoidable if other countries around the world are anything to go by,

  • I will vouch that even without the Phantom Liberty expansion Cyberpunk 2077 is fantastic. Phantom Liberty is awesome though, the story is intriguing and the new area is really well done. Everytime I visit Dogtown in that game I'm always like "damn this place is a fucking trash warzone," the devs really nailed the vibes.

Anyways absolutely amazing game, and it's half off it probably won't go below half off for another year I'm guessing. Like you, I got into it after some major updates so I didn't experience all the crap at release - to me the game is a masterpiece.

  • Really depends on your values and desired lifestyle. I think you'd be very surprised how the rest of the world lives. It's not all terrible out there. Also very dependent on socio-economic status, there are some truly terrible living conditions in the USA for way more people than there should be.

Stroll through your nearest city "ghetto" and see first hand how some live. Or take your pick of squalor. It's not pretty and I'm not talking out my ass. I've slept in some questionable places in my life. Nothing that ever felt truly dangerous but very bad living situations.

Anyways, I'm just saying we have a lot of room for improvement.

  • Jesus Fucking Gish Gallop Christ.

Nobody forced Russia to invade another sovereign nation. If anything it goes to show that being in NATO keeps you safe from Russia (just look at the baltic states). If Putin and/or Russia's goal was to stop NATO expansion this war already did the opposite.

  • Is it more simple in that it requires less physical stuff. Sure. But it's impossible to get the wifi to be as good as wired provided you're jacked into the modem (switch) itself.

It can get almost as good though with modern tech.

  • Spoiler alert: they're probably not buying mass produced China sets even if they are nice.

Source: me exhausting all avenues of trying to part with vintage China set(s) and replacements.com telling me to politely fuck off.

  • I don't think you understand the psyche of people voting for him, even if Trump personally came to their house and stomped on their balls they would vote for him.

It won't make any difference to their future votes if they suffer, it'll just be suffering.

I still don't really know a good way to pry people away from his cult of personality or convince them of the truth but suffering for the sake of itself is not good.

  • I was skimming more and the actual law is that the secretary has to not have served in the military in the past 7 years. It specifically calls out they're a civilian.

Most of them have had military experience though, it's probably helpful.

  • I think when you're probably shooting (as in filming) stuff you can't just shave your head in the middle of an ongoing project.

Otherwise I'd agree with the sentiment he should actually shave his hair but in this specific circumstance it doesn't feel disingenuous.
