I'm fighting a similar parenting battle myself, currently. I'm a sole parent, tho. So I'm just fighting with myself. I'm trying to set limits for my kids, but I'm just not able to enforce them. I have my grandson living with me in kinship care, and he is extremely high needs, my 15yo is high needs, so my 12 yo gets no attention and has slipped into device addiction, I set limits, very minimal limits, mind you, because I'm trying to weeny her down, she still sneaks around them, then I take them away entirely. I took them away for a month, after warning her about 10 times that I would if I caught her again. She was absolutely fine after a week. Maybe make your partner a bet, lol. Is your partner the one at home with them mostly? Or do you both work long hours?

They're kinda telling on themselves, 'no secrets' what does watching an add have to do with secrets, unless they want you to have no secrets from them, and give you all a your data. Then that sentence makes sense. That sentence has some real twist / projection / gaslighty vibes. Why do corporations feel like my abusive ex.

I fell off my entertainment unit, when I was too lazy to slide it out from the wall, to change a cable, and instead climbed up after working 7 days straight at a high impact job in extreme heat all week, I did a mild lose gravity, and landed hard on my knee. Doctor thinks I knocked my knee cap off, but it popped back in. Whole thing swelled twice the size. I probably should have gone to the er, but I just strapped it up and went back to work where my manager ridiculed me for such a huge bandage. The same manager I dragged myself into work for because I thought they'd be left stranded. I probably need surgery still, it doesn't hold my weight on a certain angle, but then I couldn't drive for a bit, and I don't know how I'd manage that with kids and such.

Eh, I think we have to agree to disagree on that point, friend. I've seen a lot of quotes closer to the turn of the last century warning about capitalism, it's been going for quite a while. All through the industrial booms and a few wars were essentially fuelled by capitalist reasons. All that happened in India, British empire stuff, essentially capitalism. I could deep dive and find dates, but if you are interested, there's just so much to read about it, I wouldn't know where to start. You might find some fascinating (and troubling) stuff, once you start scratching the surface. I feel like I am only just scratching the surface. I'm looking for a good book to read on the subject so I have a more indepth understanding.

They were the only 3 they looked at. It's not about them being sub par quality, they measured for smaller nano plastics than have been tested before. I would assume all plastic containers do this, with a rate of speed relative to the medium contained within. All drinks with plastic, maybe the carbonated drinks move the plastic particles faster, even. How much of the food we consume is wrapped in plastic, and doing this.

Behind the scenes, most of these people have had the vaccine, too. That makes it so much more evil. They essentially want a percentage of the population to die? I don't understand the end game. Is it just part of the culty stuff? Getting people to suspend their critical thinking entirely?

They make no losses, really. The people who pirate, either can't afford it or can't access it, or are done with the bullshit and taking a political stance to disengage. They were never among their customer base, anyway.

There's so many masses that are really feeling the pressure of the cost of living, millimetres away from rising up on their own. Loudly. If someone good tapped into that, and fuelled their hopes, it would be an avalanche.

It's still the same problem, though. Your workplace should be acutely aware humans become unwell. And plan sufficiently. I think that guilt is a relied on in any workplace, it's going to feel very much more dire in yours. I feel for you. In a perfect world, there would be enough staff that staying home sick, wouldn't matter. They could take previous years data and project how much coverage they need, and employ more (that's ignoring shortages, but that's another story to unpack). Or job share with someone, half the work, same amount of pay, holidays and sick days now don't matter, take them when you want. No workplaces need to be like this, even the shortage of available staff is a fixable thing, it just lowers profit and puts the balance and focus back on enjoyment of life. Money is the root of all evil.

Be angry, also, at the people who have rigged the game, those in power, artificially inflating prices to line their own pockets. And I'm so sorry you've had such bad runs! I'm also a little proud of you for, not only getting as far as you did, but a few times! Well done! I say we fucking eat the rich.

I'm not sure if in Maths teachers imaginations, there's a James bond of maths, out there, and to save the world he has to divide by pi. (in which case they'd pick someone who actually likes maths, anyway) Or, they imagined, either we all collectively or just one of us, has a save the world moment, and it involves solving some maths thing. I don't think they were quite the heroes they imagined themselves. Or maybe they are and this is all out there, and we just don't even hear of it.
