Defaults aren't the same as restrictions. I've had F-Droid since it's inception and got no clue why others don't use it but that's their life and choices.

On iOS I had no such option apart from the inconsistently available jailbreak requiring Cydia.

They're both shitty practices don't get me wrong, I was only saying that that user seemed to be implying Google in any way restricts sideloading on android which is not true.

I use dearrow so I don't see custom thumbnails, just screen cap of a random time code in the video and I view YouTube through my subscription box only and have watch history off so the home page isn't even available to me.

I'm just disappointed that people are so gullible as to donate to multi-millionaire YouTubers and other e-celebs and content slop farms they form these so-called "parasocial bonds" with, addicted to consuming algorithmically driven content on big tech platforms and enriching their "betters".

To go out of their way to hand more money over to rich people at any opportunity from subscriptions to ads to this, for increasingly less and less value. To bend over backwards just because they got a little hit of dopamine because of some pattern of blue light on a computer monitor dancing to the tune of our ailing civilization.

Each to their own of course, but goddamn I wish people were better. It's like the whole world went crazy. Maybe it always was. Most people feel like aliens who make no sense, who's perspective I can't even fathom, whether it's the internet or IRL, and reasonable people seem few and far between.

That reminds me of staying with guardians in the UK for a half-term so I didn't have to haul ass back home and they had a PS3 that was just completely full of porn, HD asf too. For justification:

I can't lift most things people can, in many ways im less strong than comparable in terms of height cis women. I'm a clutz but can occasionally display dexterity like dodging out of the way of something or catching a difficult casual throw of some object.

I recovered from surgery about 2 months ahead of schedule, I frequently just ignore the fact food is expired and eat it and I'm fine most of the time, never been seriously sick or broke a bone and have put my body through absolute hell in terms of circumstances and drugs and am fine.

I wouldn't say I'm smart but I do work in cybersecurity and am learning hacking which requires a lot of brain effort, so I suppose being able to keep up with that must mean I'm fairly above average.

Wisdom I'd say I'm pretty high on, I can connect between disparate ideas and cross-domain knowledge fairly easily and intuitively.

My charisma is okay when I am dunking and roasting people, I have a good sense of humour, but I'm not very convincing, I'm a critic.
