  • I think "selling ice to Eskimos" is the American equivalent. Naturally, the

version of this phrase: 1) involves an exonym that's a bit offensive 2) kinda makes doing a pointless exercise sound like a good thing.

  • Seconding Elden Ring. It's also going to be more active since people are hyped for the new content - which means you're more likely to get help if you need it.

It has a handful of QoL features too that'll make the learning curve more manageable

  • Congrats on the baby, and I wish you both get some sleep in the near future!

I honestly preferred using a baby monitor that didn't have too many techy features. The one I've had the longest was from Infant Optics - just their baseline model worked fine. No wifi or phone connections. It's just a basic video/audio monitor.

  • I'm curious what music Kevin Parker will be making in 20 years or so (assuming he still continues).

  • I could see The Less I Know the Better having some staying power.

I think I'll die if I hear a weird music kid from my child's generation talking about Death Grips in 10 years or so.

  • I remember .beats being used as the clock in Phantasy Star Online ages ago. Is this still used for anything?

  • Probably part of it is the voiceover director, and part of it is the budget. If you're working really cheaply, you won't have many opportunities to redo lines to get things to sound more natural.

  • Yeah, and not even a simplified version like the Final Fantasy 15 for the Nintendo Switch. Probably just going to be a half assed thing.

  • I guess it's cool that some people may be able to play the game when they wouldn't otherwise, but yeah I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being shit.

  • That's why we keep the low level wizard around

  • I think they had exclusive rights to the phone version of Into The Breach and funded the expansion for it

  • Just absolutely desperate to wring out more revenue lmao

  • You gave absolutely no context about what kinds of things your child enjoys in video games. Go figure that out first. If you don't know that, and you're taking the game he enjoys away he's 100% going to see it as a punishment.

  • You were asking for advice, and she gave you some solid suggestions. IDK why you're getting so bent out of shape.

Edit: Adding this article to maybe give you some more detail. Play the game with your kid and see what about it they enjoy. If you want to introduce them to better games, you'll need to have an idea about what they like.
