Them getting called out for starters. People need to start using language like "that's unacceptable", "MAGA blocking funds to save our own people AGAIN" or "yet again, MAGA is letting thousands of Americans die!" as apposed to barely fucking mentioning it. MAGA's whole thing is shitting on others, but nobody shits back at em. Why? We don't even need to make anything up, they are literal fascists! Calling them weird worked wonders, why did we stop? Was calling those murder cult psychos weird really the most outrageous thing we're willing to do?

If people keep treating it as if it's normal, it will become normal. Before Trump, all this was unthinkable, but then he came and proclaimed something outrageous and nobody said SHIT! Everyone just accepted it, making it the new normal. We are allowing this senile shitface to define what America is. This is abusive relationships 101. He has zero opposition and no backlash and thus all the power.

We should also make it illegal for foreign diplomats, officials and leaders to visit private citizens and broadcast it. Trump isn't even elected yet, and dictators have already crowned him the rightful king, and again nobody says shit!

Emulation is the only reason I ever was a nintendo fan at all. I despised consoles for everything they stood for. Stripped down computers with a very shitty shelf life, and now paying for your own internet twice??? I used to emulate a lot and jumped on the delusion bandwagon that nintendo is good, which led me to beg my parents to buy me a wii and later a switch on launch day. Now that their games are also kinda shit, there's very little insensitive anyways. Fuck nintendo.

The hell ya taking about? Liberals are center, they go along with anybody as long as you "compromise". I personally find it hilarious that both the right and left complain about liberals being in bed with the other side.

And tankies aren't really left for the same reason nazis (national SOCIALIST) aren't really left. Wonder how it came to be that nazis are the face of extreme right and tankies are the face of extreme left, despite them both being totalitarian fascists. In Germany the nazis were literally stealing the communist vote, they're building on the same appeal. The idealogy of "we're more deserving of life, because..." doesn't really care about the because part. Left/right politics are irrelevant in the face of totality.

Because the people with power funding this shit have pretty much zero overlap with the people making this tech. The investors saw a talking robot that aced school exams, could make images and videos and just assumed it meant we have artificial humans in the near future and like always, ruined another field by flooding it with money and corruption. These people only know the word "opportunity", but don't have the resources or willpower to research that "opportunity".

Can't speak for the science libraries as I've never used em, and I'll gladly just blindly accept that as truth, but for everything else it's always a pain in the ass. For being designed to "run on anything" it sure is funny that 90% of the time I download a python app it doesn't fucking work and requires me to look up and manually setup a specific environment for it. Doesn't help that the error messages are usually completely random and unrelated to this...

I always dread when some fucking madman makes the installer for their app in python, knowing it'll probably fail... God forbid it's a script that's supposed to modify something else. Always a good time for reflection upon the choices that led me to this point.

Even my old scripts I kept around for sentimental value. Half of those don't work either, and I can't be bothered to figure out what version I made em for.

I tried my best to scrub python from my pc out of principle, but as you say, it's soo common my distro uses it as a dependency, fucking bullshit!

Assuming I'm an android fan for pointing out that Apple does shady PR. I literally mention that Apple devices have their selling point. And it isn't UNMATCHED PERFORMANCE or CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY as their adds seems to suggest. It's a polished experience and beautiful presentation; that is unmatched. Unlike the hot mess that is android. Android also has its selling points, but this reply is already getting long. Just wanted to point out your pettiness and unwillingness to read more than a sentence.

Big leap for OpenAI, as in a kind of ML model they haven't explored yet. Not that big for AI in general as others have done the same with similar result. Until they can make graphs where they look exceptionally better compared to other models than their own, it's not that much of a breakthrough.

Dang, OpenAI just pulled an Apple. Do something other people have already done with the same results (but importantly before they made a big fuss about it), claim it's their innovation, give it a bloated name so people imagine it's more than it is and produce a graph comparing themselves to themselves, hoping nobody will look at the competition.

Just like Apple, they have their own selling point, but instead they seem to prefer making up stuff while forgetting why people use em.

On a side note they also pulled an Elon. Where's my AI companion that can comment on video in realtime and sing to me??? Ya had it "working" "live" a couple months ago, WHERE IS IT?!?

Why are right wing parties obsessed with AI posters? And like HORRIFICALLY BAD AI posters? They're creepy as hell. In my country too, it's just unsettling. I guess it's easier than a photoshoot and allows you to make any obscene shit you want... Or just straight up lie.

The thing is this wasn't "most men" or even "some men". It was a regular line for a mountain coaster. Anything from kids to their moms and dads and older folk up to like their 50s and all fucking cheered. I've never see something like this here. Here there's always at least one old cranky dude that shits on such people very vocally and the kids cover. 5 teenagers gawking and giggling or football fan types yelling isn't the same as watching a crowed of all ages go WOOOW! Like I'm already fed up with the heat and shitty long line on the fucking asphalt of all things and these regular ass midwestern families still find it in em to admire the rich asshole being a nuisance.

Eastern Europe? Maybe. I can definitely see some Bulgarians doing that, but that's a bit of a stretch.

After visiting America and seeing how much they celebrate assholes I'm less and less surprised. If you're standing in line and a car pulls up just to rev its engine as loud as possible, here in Europe we get mad at the fucking obnoxious asshole. Never ever did I want to disassociate from a crowd faster than when surrounded by Americans losing their marbles at seeing an expensive car be loud.

It's a tiny example, but it has to start somewhere. Glorifying shit is just wrong.
