I'm taking it at face value that old earth figures of speech and idioms would be problematic on a TAS bridge with the nomaly going on, they addressed that by the cat person responding that "there is more than one way to disembowel a human", we wouldn't like people casually throwing that around. It's also tongue in cheek as illustrated by the knickerstonians and the ship blowing up. It's meant to be silly.
The tapestry of star trek (and science fiction) has always included silly and over the top alongside the serious, thought provoking and intelligent.
Cornering the star trek parody and comedy market with their own product is genius btw. Like how Elvis's manager sold "I hate Elvis" shirts.
I've read all the responses here and am horrified that you seem to live in an ungrounded plastic bubble. Is that a Canberra thing? Or can't even find a small metal object the size of a coin to make discharging painless, how why?
If it's an old house there should be tonnes of metal things to touch.
Corners of walls, radiators or central air vents or return air vents, screws on switches or power outlets, furniture with metal bits on it, sinks taps and water fixtures with metal parts, thermostat, fireplace casing.
Damn, I was going to suggest this, I do it all the time. Perhaps shuffle around and touch everything in sight until you find something that zaps and therefore discharges you. Once you find something grounding (zappy) touch that before you touch your dog.
Calgary and perhaps all cities have the same discourse. The car only people get upset when bike paths or BRTs are made.
Given there are lots of roads here that are inaccessible by bike, transit or walking having no shoulders or sidewalks, I'm always happy when another option is added.
I definitely don't think of Montreal as a driving city but consider that a part of the appeal when visiting.
I bike, walk and drive and am generally happy when all infrastructure is updated.
If by a good chunk of change you mean free then yes. Mod tools are not paywalled in sync. I think the reasoning was that mods don't really get paid so they decided not to add insult to injury and mod tools are free.
So I'm the kind of person who runs back ups using two synologies and is more of a GUI guy. I use mac and pcs very fluently but I'm not entirely terminal or command line literal.
Will something like this cause more problems if I'm looking to get rid of Google drive and start switching to next cloud or will this make my life easier?
My thought was, how bad would it be without autotune? 😬
I just enjoyed it for what it was at surface level, though. First, the Orville, then lower decks and now this showed that star trek is big enough to be funny and thought-provoking.
