  • If you grew up poor in America this is what government issued food stuffs looked like. They realized having this stuff was humiliating to the people that needed it and replaced it completely with snap cards you can use to buy whatever. Government cheese and peanut butter and milk were big staples.

  • Personally I thought botw was pretty mid overall. The world is so empty and there's no reason to really ever fight anything for the most part. The weapons breaking so easily just cements that. Haven't played the second tho.

  • At the moment there's no other way that makes sense for the companies looking at these regions. The reality is that the infrastructure to deliver digital goods is that it costs the same no matter where you're delivering those goods to. So if people in that region have such a weak currency, they're paying you one 100 th of what say France is paying for something then offering the service to them maybe an unprofitable venture overall. That said, I'm not a businessman because I fucking hate this kind of shit, but the guy's comment really made me stop and observe my own bias.

  • I find it pretty rare to meet Chinese people like that. Most of the ones I meet know that stuff happened isn't that the government covered it up but they don't think that the government covering things up is all that unusual or newsworthy.
