Ok CNN. I'll follow your lead and start using public transportation.
That just involves me leaving my house at 4am and driving 9 minutes to the local bus stop, then take a bus ride for 37 min, transfer from there to another bus for another 19 min ride, transfer to another bus and ride for an hour, then either call an Uber for a 3 min ride or I can walk for 30 minutes to reach my workplace.
Or... I can just drive and reach my workplace in 40min.
I would love to use public transportation, and when I lived in Japan that's all I ever used, which I much preferred to a car.
America first needs to get serious about establishing actual reliable and accessible transportation in order for more people to use it.
I believe most people just want more content than anything, but with opening it up to all of those other social media platforms, you get all of the junk that comes with it.
I personally left those platforms to get away from all of the social media drama, and I don't mind less content as long as it quality.
Thanks for the information! I tried installing Linux on my Mac but I was getting partition errors (bought my 2015 Mac used) and after troubleshooting for a couple hours I decided to just go out and buy the t480. I got Pop! OS running on it smoothly and I"m enjoying it so far!
Wow! Thank you for the detailed information. I had some issues trying to install Linux on my Mac so I ended up buying a t480 and I installed Pop! OS on it. Everything at the moment is running smoothly and I'm currently still setting up programs on it that I believe I will be using in my cyber security journey. Thanks again for the detailed explanation, I have a lot to learn!
Thanks for the detailed response! I think I'll take the advice that some others and that you've mentioned also. I have an extra USB drive laying around so I'm going to try and install Linux and run it through a VM on my Mac first. If all runs well, then great! If not, I'll look into the Thinkpad.
I actually am unsure of what numbers 2,4, and 5 mean in your response. I'm coming from a non-tech field, but have a huge interest and am trying to build up my knowledge on all of the technical terms especially when it comes to Linux.
I just looked up a guide on how to install VM on a Mac and it seems pretty straightforward. Seems like I could at least give it a try since I have an extra USB drive laying around. Thanks for the suggestion!
All I have to say about this is that this was a blessing in disguise for me. I’ve never heard of the fediverse until this Reddit fiasco happened. I’m having a lot better time here being part of something new and it feels good to start fresh.
Same here. I'm not going to lie, I'm still a little afraid when I see his face now as well. I think I'll always be afraid of Chucky.
