This is such a small way of looking at things.

The best thing you can do is live according to your ethics and values. By setting an example.

Putting a sticker on says hey... you behave this way.

Take the plastic housing off of an upright column fan and turn it into an air blade.

I'm not joking, I have done this. It provides an amazing laminar (non turbulent) column of air that is so refreshing.

I'm a former content creator with millions and millions of hours of (e watched hours of) video. I have answered hundreds of comments from people who would like to suggest that my mic is better, or I use a better video camera, better lighting...

I can honestly say I never made a fucking sent on YouTube and it's the users that are to blame. They view it as this free thing that they should be entitled. Contribute nothing willingly.

There is a huge difference between the ethical stance people portray in their online comments, and people's in real life behavior.

Same thing for me in Canada.

You cannot seriously buy into all of the values that Canada, as a country, has demonstrated for the last several hundred years.

I find people who broadcast their ethical positions rarely live by them. Being ethical is a series of decisions on how you act, not what you tell people.

Recently I discovered I could use a hair dryer from the thrift store that has a diffuser. I have been gently softening the adhesive and peeling them off, and I have been finding that in most cases, it no longer leaves any adhesive behind!

I watched a woman who represented herself as being a food expert, who also recommended extra virgin olive oil for all cooking purposes, especially where it was not suitable as the smoke point of the oil is out of alignment with the cooking needs of the other ingredients.

I mourn for billions and billions of olives wasted in food that must, by the rules of cooking, be bad. And for the hundreds of millions of people who have been wrongly informed by someone who's celebrity gimmick overwhelms their technical ability.

There was a great America's Test Kitchen episode where they did just this, and they talked about the oils that suface in the different cans, etc

I too have food preferences

I love hearing these kinds of retellings from industry insiders, I was deep in Tech and high up in the games industry, and I know the kinds of shenanigans that happen at the CEO and board level!

But in my view the mobile game was over already in 2001-2003. That's when Microsoft had everything wrapped up in their hot little hands, but decided that mobile computing was not the future, and that embedded Windows CE on every device is the way to go.

Everything that happened after 2003 to 2005 basically sealed everything in stone. I think he's vastly over playing whatever revolution was in his mind.
