Nope. That's a common misconception about climate change. Humankind will not die out anytime soon. But a lot of places on this world will become inhospitable and the people that are currently living there will migrate.
Guess where they'll want to migrate to when they have to?
Yeah, that price is that no sane economy will invest in Russia as long as they are scum. They have proven that they don't care about contracts, sovereignty, territorial borders and human dignity.
Song says it appears that the world’s oceans are losing their ability to dissipate heat from the surface into the deep ocean.
But isn't it obvious that there's a limit how much heat the oceans can store? Actually it can only get rid of it by emitting it into the atmosphere/space.
Additionally the hotter the water gets the more energy it emits which should slow down the net energy absorption.
As those two effects are opposites of each other there should be an equilibrium temperature where they cancel each other out. Currently it seems the oceans are a bit away from that equilibrium. It should swing the other way in a few decades or so. The oceans are big that's why it takes time for change to manifest.
For me it sounds like the journalist didn't really understood, what Song researched or tried to make a click bait article.
Andrew Tate, a former kickboxing champion, first entered the public eye (...) after a video showed him hitting a woman with a belt and telling a woman to count the bruisers he allegedly gave her.
What a sick bastard! And the US wants to have that one released? WTF is wrong with them?
It seems a move that’s not only intended to help Ukraine repel Russia, but end defense dependence on the US, on the premise that the partner no longer is reliable.
Which is a good thing IMO. From this side of the large pond the USA looks more and more like a bully on par with Russia and China.
East of UA is fucked for decades but Russia is fucked too. Both countries burnt through quite a lot of their arsenal from Soviet times and struggle to keep their troops supplied. UA has it easier because the European countries help with weapons, munitions and other equipment.
Unfortunately Russia can sustain the current attrition rate by another 5-10 years before the situation becomes truly unbearable for them. My fear is that by then the UA might have collapsed.
The best case scenario is that Putin dies shortly and his successor ends this stupid war.
I'm under the impression that these guys are driven workaholics. They just can't stop. Working is their hobby and playtime. They just can't sit still if there's something that can be done.
They have to squeeze out everything there is to squeeze. And if there's something -like a law- that's preventing them from doing that they'll fight it with every fiber of their body.
Tell that to all the animals that only have one shot. There are quite a lot of them and usually they all lay thousands of eggs.
Probably the most well known of them is the salmon. Only about 5% of them survive the procreation after the salmon run (of those salmon species that actually do the run).
As was said before: The genes are already passed onto the next generation. It doesn't matter if the parents become stupid now. There's no evolutionary advantage to become more or less stupid at this point.
It became like it is now by some random chance(s).

This doesn’t explain why a truck can drive at double digits mph with the trailer up.
Torque.
But yeah a safety feature would be easy to implement. It could be a buzzer that goes off or a enforced max speed of like 10-20 mph as long as the trailer isn't locked in the down position.
