  • I bought my daughter a Kobo years ago and it has worked great. This was before Walmart bought them and they were much harder to find in the US but Kindle was requiring my daughter to have an Amazon account to check out library books. In order to have an Amazon account you must have a credit card attached. Tech support's solution for me was to just give her a pre paid card. They didn't understand why I wasn't interested in forcing my 7 year old into Amazon in order to check out library books.

Kobo has Overdrive installed in the device. You can also load PDF files directly onto it. I don't know if they've changed that over the years but her device is now 7 years old and working great.

  • How does finding these swords indicate the presence of the Roman military in Cotswolds?

All it tells me is that someone with 2 Roman swords left them in Cotswolds. My grandpa had a German WW2 rifle but I don't think the SS ever made it to western Kansas.

  • Overall not too bad, but using the camera, and especially recording video, will cause it to overheat and ask you to take a break much quicker than it really should. Honestly that's not a minor issue I guess when one of the main features forces you to stop using it after a relatively brief time. I think the 5 series is better at managing that though.

  • Fine, I used a synonym instead of the exact word you used "tolerate". The point is, the power to tolerate this or not is still in your/our hands. If we only talk and complain, but don't actually reward with our business the companies who do what we say we want, then the future will absolutely be no on board storage, cloud connected, personal-data-harvesting everything.

So it kind of does have something to do with accepting (or not) these things.

  • You don't have to accept it, just buy something else. That's the beauty of Android. I'm using an Xperia 1 IV and really like it. The Mark V is better with heat and a few other things but not enough to switch right away. 512 GB internal, SD card slot, headphone jack... basically everything phone buyers complain about getting removed are all available in one package.

  • My preference would be to simply enlarge the court by a few seats, nominate some additional candidates that exceed the number of available seats by 2 or 3, and then hold some sort of Survivor-like competition to see who captures the seats. I would also accept a Hunger Games style competition for this first new court session.
