  • Yeah the true crime has been how awful cut and beige all their clothing options are now. But they have always chased which ever group they think is in power and spending cash and I guess it's wannabe trad upper middle class now, instead of queer upper middle class.

  • To be frank,

Constructive criticism has not been well received by anyone lately as apparently everyone just sees it as flat criticism and with the rise of internet echo chambers for every group, criticism in any form immediately points you as an other to be ignored.
People of all walks only want to hear what is convenient and self confirming.

And also, people are not ubermensch and do not just have a working plan that perfectly replaces this one the same way this one is ineffective. It will take conversation and community to figure out what works. No one can plan or act alone.

  • Man I'm having an issue finding encounters of the spooky kind 2 and got to a max of 17.6%....

I'm honestly contemplating just finding somewhere to download from manually at this point.
Shockingly my SO suggested they found it free on the criterion collection and that... Might be the biggest chad move I've seen.

  • Yeah, straight up disagree.
People are not individually brilliant, we are the result of hundreds of generations of iteration and resilience. No one has built and started from zero even people like me that avoids others.

People are not superheroes, they aren't individual creators they are at the new end point of the neverending colony.

But the individual will always let you down. They are not as perfect or incredible as our beliefs in them.

  • Hyperbole but the average age of the senate is 64 years old.

The baby boomer and silent generation holds 294 seats in the US congress at about 55% of the Congress. The only reason the average is low is because of the bulk of 40 year old Republicans and the oldest members finally dying off. GEN X has been a larger swath of seats than they would care to admit.

While millennials make up 25% of the US population they just recently made up only 5% of congress.

The youngest members of the boomer generation where born just as Hawaii became the 50th state. Nearly half of Congress can remember as a kid when there was only 48 states.

The point is that people in power are incredibly out of touch with modern existence and have been disproportionately protecting their positions and keeping younger generations from coming in. Yes they might not literally all be as old as WW2 but some of them literally are.

To insinuate that younger generations have not grabbed for higher positions is disingenuous to the reality of the world.

  • No, it's far more important to step aside.
Remember there are always 2 parties involved in any bullying and it's on the victim to know when to step away, roll over, and let the bully do whatever they want cause otherwise it causes a scene.

  • Just bring tea concentrate. There are several different versions of them from paste to powder to just a tea bag and then you just need water.

Cold brew is even a thing. Tea is like the easiest thing you can make especially if you want it unsweetened.

My problem is I always want lemonade and life has apparently run out of free lemons raining from the sky for me to use and I'm not bringing simple syrup anymore.

  • They think if they are having an issue with it, everyone else must be as well.

It's part of the indoctrination of sin from the church as well.

It's also a pretty common logical bias from smart people thinking others think or know what they do.

Apparently we are all the same flaws with very different responses to them.
