  • We call them Hot Cakes in Mexico (or in my town at least), also what am I seen in the second pic? A Hot Cake taco?

  • LMAO, he also made me check it.

347 MB for me, no wonder why I am always struggling with storage for my 128 GB phone (with not expandable storage of course), and I don't even have that many games, even less ROMs 😅

  • Good call, never incentive the FOMO.

  • I am wondering the same thing, this is the first time I heard about the latter.

  • Sync for Reddit does not have a chat function, so I won't be using DMs... Not that I even care for it, I guess my "chat request" feed will be bigger for the next time I check on the desktop website (with Ublock Origin ofc) 😅

  • There are no more free domains anymore?

  • Yeah, at this point they just think we are stupid as, as if they were taking a huge toll with the bandwidth by capping the remote playback option... They are not hosting the files ffs.

  • I am only an original (hacked) Nintendo Switch and I have been enjoying BOTW recently with higher than 30 FPS (60 at best) with some overclocking, that is good enough for my gaming standards.

If I were to get a Steam Deck... I wouldn't use it for Switch games because I am more than happy with how my own Switch behaves... And I am aware emulation is not perfect with the Deck, like, PSP emulation level of perfect.

If I had to choose one though, I'd go for the Deck, but not specifically for the Switch gaming capabilities, I have a considerable PC backlog.

  • Yeah, it is not Sync, but it is just as good, and we can work with the dev to make it even better than what Sync was!

  • Xbox handheld made sense before when we had proper handhelds.

Nowadays... Not so much, I struggle to think how anybody would not think that this is just another Steam Deck/ROG Ally or whatever other PC gaming handheld in the market.

  • No no, they promised they don't do that nasty stuff, I gotta believe them.

  • Yeah I get it, it definitely is not a competition, but if it is for the sake of sharing the love then yeah I agree that this client requires a higher user base 😁

  • Summit holds practically the same quality as Sync for Reddit had... If not more at this point.

And yeah, the dev is great and very communicative, he must love his own project to be so active regarding it, and it makes sense I have tried the app since its conception and it has greatly improved.

I don't want to bash other Lemmy clients.... But I have tried nearly all of them and Summit always speaks "smoother" for me.

  • Perhaps you can merge Jellyfin and Kodi, I know you can use your Plex Server with Kodi.

  • For me it began since they announced they are killing the watch together feature... For other people it started a long time ago.

  • I am a lifetime Plex Pass User... I am not affected by their BS... Yet (watch together is going though).

  • .... A fee for adding content to each media, capped libraries? What is next?

    Let's brainstorm guys ;D

  • Charging for remote access is dumb as they are not being the one hosting the contents nor relaying them (if you have it properly set up).

If they want to charge for it they should have inbuilt tunnels to solve CGNAT (like their relay but not stupidly capped).

  • Huh, I was somewhat excited about the elimination of the playback limit for mobile apps (we are in 2025 ffs!) and then re-read that this will be only applicable for the subpar preview version once it is released... Which doesn't fucking has the watch together feature lmao.

The only good news in a nutshell is that I am still a Plex Pass Lifetime User, so in a nutshell I don't get good news lol.

  • I can understand new features being behind a fee, but this is putting old, old capabilities behind a paywall. Hmmm...

I am a Trakt user, was an Evernote user and I am (thankfully) a Plex Pass user...

What service are we missing that has done the same? We should make a list if there is not one already.
