  • Oh yeah, I fired up my old iPhone 6s to play the Infinity Blade II, no regrets!

  • If this is some kind of question like "you can only play this in your lifetime" I'd pick up a DSi XL or closely a 3DS, I enjoy the DS library more, so it would be a downgrade doing it there, unless things have changed since the last time I checked.

The reasons are simple, it has tons of great titles and many of them have a high replayability value.

  • At least in Android you can install old games yet, I just installed Nimble Quest and had a blast as of recently.

  • That you didn't like them doesn't mean they sucked, look along this thread and you'll find ppl sharing titles worthwhile back then (me included), ofc, this is not GOTY material, but a game must not be a masterpiece in order to be enjoyable, which ultimately is what all games are for, to be an enjoyable hobby.

  • I don't know man, I had my fair share of fun with a pair of Nyan Cat games, the original Plants Vs Zombies, Nimble Quest (I just got this again on Android and cracked the heck out of it with Lucky patcher, and still suck lol), Tiny Wings, Angry Birds and I could be missing some others.

  • It was until a recent Chrome update for Android that they took out the ability to turn the webpages dark within the hidden settings, and that was what motivated me to go back to Firefox (first time user on Android though).

I haven't looked back, and am actually not sure if they brought the feature back, nor that I care nowadays ;).

  • I never understood the attraction of twitter, so mastodon doesn't appeal to me either.

I won't try to convince you, but I am exactly like you, I still use Twitter from time to time (although not as Elon wants, I use this version) anyway, still just use it from time to time, but I gave it a chance to Mastodon (Moshidon and Megalodon clients) and I really liked to follow hashtags, I think I find more interesting content that way compared to whatever Twitter algorithm wants to show me, with that said it is not perfect, but it is definitely an improvement because, not everyone is advertising themselves there, so you pretty much need to work your way to curate your stuff (which as I have said, found it better) and it is not very different than following communities here, I dislike that even when I have filtered out languages many foreign languages still leak in the posts (something that I have not suffered here).

And even when both Mastodon and Lemmy are a shadow compared to Twitter and Reddit I still find more "niche" stuff in Mastodon than Lemmy, for example I have had some talks about Hotel Dusk and The Last Window (DS games) there and I don't recall having that interaction here, but that could just be because Mastodon might be more popular and has a higher user base (just as the corporation ones are).

  • The only thing that keeps me motivated to use the audio jack is because my old car still has an old stereo and I use it daily, and I am too lazy to use dongles lol.

As a matter of fact here is a pic of a disc that my girlfriend bought recently because it was on discount, and we tried it in the car for the first time ever! (We also don't usually buy discs, this would be the first time in more than a decade).

  • Massive spoilers, you should just have provided the video to bring full context my friend!

  • This seems like some Black Mirror shit.

  • The longest I stuck with the franchise was through Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS, and it wasn't the graphics or the game itself that captivated me (although both are awesome, ngl) but the online capabilities and gameplay, I have not even finished the game, only played several minutes of the campaign (which maybe I am not missing out of much here, as I have read it is one of the weakest), and yet I have had more than 500 hrs of playtime thanks to the multiplayer, which I still used even after the closure of the servers thanks to Wiimmfi.

For me the gameplay with the stylus as the main aim control is the best the DS can offer to have a proper and fast paced aim, if you could search for some of the crazy stuff that the pro players managed with this game on YT and how hardcore it can get for this hardware in those days, you'd be surprised, here is a video that comes at the top of my mind, and it is a recent one too, also the sniper battles (imperialist) were pretty awesome.

With that said, I know the franchise and what it means for everyone, I appreciate it that much that I refuse to even play more metroidvanias without finishing Super Metroid (and Castlevania Symphony of The Night while we are at it).

  • FFS this!

Am I losing my head or what!? Because I can't get how everybody else is missing the obvious, the adaptations need to be good, we are not tired of super hero movies, we are tired about garbage adaptations, and I literally can't believe any thinking person would really believe:

Oh, people are really tired of Marvel and DC, but game adaptations are thriving it must be their fault (because we are tired, obviously), so let's focus on adapting videogames now!

  • I can't post about game impressions that often because I am very slow at my gaming... With that said I just finished The Last Window for Nintendo DS again (remember next to nothing about the plot) and god I had a blast with it!

I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a visual novel, but it would be wiser to play Hotel Dusk first if you haven't yet, as The Last Window is a sequel.

  • Oh, I definitely have experienced "The following content is not available on this app." Before, but I thought it was just a thing of my Revanced version outdated because I rarely update it... Which I'm gonna do just now 😁

I hope this doesn't bring too many issues to Smart Tube, which is where I do 99% of my YT usage (and I have yet to be bothered with any bug).

  • I guess the recommendation of turning off the Bluetooth to save battery, or the sarcastic comment that usually says "bro, just turn off the phone if you care too much about the battery" are gonna be obsolete now aren't they?

  • Ok, I gotta ask, I know almost nothing about the lore of Fallout, is this show for me? Does it have enough content for newcomers that makes it worth it?

I did enjoy the Twisted Metal TV show, if that brings any context about what stuff I like, although at least I did play some of their old games and enjoyed them, but I remember next to nothing about the game's "plot", if there was any to begin with.

EDIT: Thank you so much for your replies guys, it seems definitely like a fun show and I'm craving for one lol (I just finished Titans S03... and... it was not good), I'm gonna give it a try!

  • Is this game available on PC? I thought you couldn't kill an online game on PC because the servers work in a different way.

  • There is no article.

  • Cool, but the article was pay-walled, I needed to use Internet Archive to read it lol.
