  • You seem to be at least a little bit interested, I suggest you watch some videos on youtube so you understand it better, the channel Second Thought would be a good place to start.

I'll try to answer your concerns below:

The current ideology of society is the ideology of its rulling class.

Human nature, if anything is much more about collaboration and collective effort than greed, that's how it has been for most of human history.

That is to say, we precisely see so much greed everywhere because we live in a system that heavily incentivizes individuality and greed. From the way we are taught to the media we consume, it's literally everywhere. We are heavily influenced to think and see things in this particular individualistic way.

A society that puts human needs and collective effort above profits have a different way of viewing and interacting with the world than the way we do in capitalist societies. Besides that, if your concern is people abusing power, there should be mechanisms in place to account for that.

My knowledge on this whole topic is not deep, but I guess something you could look up is democratic centralism to understand how hierarchy works in a marxist-leninist socialist state.

Also, my understanding is that marxist theory is only dogmatic in relation to it's method, as everything else about it adapts to the reality and the material conditions of the time and place it is to be put into practice.

  • In a socialist society you would be paid by how much work you do, you don't simply divide everything for everyone equally.

You work more you get more, you work less you get less.

Also, why would anyone need a 1000 apples for?

  • Everything is political, buddy. Maybe stop plugging your ears every time you see a drop of political discourse that you disagree with and start listening.

  • Oh, thanks I forgot it was called bangs. I used DDG a few years ago but missed some features from Google, so I ended up giving up on it, maybe I'll try again soon.

  • A few I can think of the top of my head:

Ludusavi - Extremely easy to use backup tool for savedata from games. Some games on Steam doesn't have cloud backup, like Dark Souls 2 and 3, so it's useful to have a backup if I ever need to format my pc.

Logseq - Obsidian-like app for note talking, it's intimidating at first but it's really great. I have been using it for notes, diary/journaling and for drafting ideas.

Haruna Media Player - This one I don't think is available for Windows but if someone on Linux sees this, it's the best video player I have tried. All it lacks for me is a way to download subtitles.

  • I use Brave Search on Firefox, but I mostly use the shortcuts it provides like !yt and !g. A few months back I mostly used it over google, but the search results more times than not have been worse in comparison for me.

  • Yeah, also faces are weird when you zoom in and some things melt together.

Oh, I've seen this poster before, this one is pretty cool.

  • I'll try that, thanks comrade.

  • You convinced me, I'll watch it when I get the chance. Thanks!

  • Am I tripping or is this AI made? I like the overall ideia of the image tho.

Also does anyone know of a repository to human made communist artwork? I tried searching for it before but didn't find anything. Most communist art I've seen has been on youtube videos. Would love to use some as wallpapers.

  • Same, I always seen people talk about it but never seen it myself until 3 days ago. I only saw it because a video I wanted to watch mentioned it and it ended up being pretty great, it's really well made.

I've been putting off watching Your Name for years at this point, is it as good as everyone online says it is?

  • I binge-watched Wonder Egg Priority on Saturday, on one hand it is charming as fuck with a great cast of characters while also being very empathetic with a range of difficult topics, on the other

That being said, the trans representation in this anime is great and the good stuff, specially in the first half, is so good it's probably gonna stick to me for a while.

I also watched Perfect Blue for the first time and that was also great, I've managed to go in without being spoiled anything and it was a ride, that's for sure.

  • I don't even know why I'm bothering to type this giving what you just said, but watch this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLYWHpgIoIw

It was not "young freedom-loving technology-savvy nerds", it was literally a movement started by the alt-right that gathered enough public outrage it ruined people's careers and did great damage overall. And if you really think "authoritarian feminists" or whatever exists and are a problem, you need to educate yourself on feminism, I really mean it.

  • Yeah, and both this feeling and the wealth inequality are only gonna get bigger and bigger as time goes by, that's capitalism.

But there is still hope, a government and state of the working class, for the working class, where the capitalists are the ones oppressed, and not us. A society where profit is not the goal anymore, where the global south is not explored until they drop dead, where the poor and homeless can get what they need, where people can stop worrying about surviving and start living, where we are not a product anymore, but human beings.

This can only happen if people start organizing and start learning what do to and how.

  • How rich comming from someone that doesnt even understand how bullshit ancap is as an ideology.

Also, no one was claiming this piece of shit is a nazi or a fascist.

How about you iluminate us on how the fuck is someone that hates fascists an actual fascist?

  • Most sane and empathetic libertarian

  • VLC gave me trouble last year so I ended up using Haruna. The only thing I miss is downloading subtitles, but I can use VLC for that, everything else I think Haruna is near perfection.

  • Ah yes, because everyone on the streets "don't care about themselves".

People are usually on the streets because they have no other choice.

Empathy and understanding others is literally free.

  • Morality is shaped by your material conditions, that is, the society, culture, religion, thinkers etc. that comprise the place you were born and taught, calling the bourgeoisie immoral psychopaths doesn't really do anything. The way to deal with this is to toss morality aside and see the relations of power for what they are, exploitation of a class by another, as have happened for basically the entirety of human history.

This claims for a solution then, ending the exploitation which necessitates ending the division of classes by preventing that a ruling class comes to existence. This is basically the premise to communism.

The problem with waiting for the current system do collapse is that Capitalism has shown to be much more resilient than expected. The contradictions of capital are intensifying still to this day and more and more people are noticing it, but it is to be expected that the capitalists will do anything they can to keep the machine working.

Trying to change the system from within doesn't really work, like you said, the ruling class is not gonna let their power get taken way. One example of this is what happened on Chile with elected socialist president Salvador Allende 50 years ago.

A change this big in society doesn't happen peacefully, it will need a full out revolution that will lead to "injuries". It is unfortunate and me and, I think, everyone would like it to not be this way, but it is.
