  • never had anything quite as bad, there are a lot of people commenting "JuSt SwiTcH tO LiNuX" and never answer when you explain how you've tried to switch but sim racing, CAD and many other things are way too complicated to get running reliably.

  • as a german citizen, it's almost impressive.

the A7 thingymajig has been under construction since 2020, and there's always at least one construction site every 5 km.

my current drive to work has 3 construction sites, each limited to 30km/h and littered with speed cameras.

you british do it even better. you actively destroy your main mode of transortation outside of dense cities.

  • with sonic runners, they had to reverse engineer the whole server infrastructure. i'd say the chances of you patching out server checks without decompiling the entire game are low.

but i'm not any kind of programmer, so i'd love to be proven wrong.

  • youtube would be a big one.

big creators could run a bot which just uploads their videos on it.

although monetization would be a difficult one, FOSS users aren't fond of subscriptions. (at least that's my impression)

made even worse by the insane costs of video hosting/streaming.

  • that may very well be the case, but it's still excessive. i would much rather have a .txt file with relevant information and the "ShowXY S03E07" naming.

at least manually identifying shows is easy in jellyfin.

  • filenames following the standards of library apps like jellyfin, plex, etc.

    i don't want every file to be named "[ASDF]some.shitty.show.S3E7.MULTI(360p h264 7.1 dual audio).mkv"

jellyfin can't identify most of these, and the relevant information can be found out easily by tapping properties (in windows, anyway)

  • aren't interviews possible? i'm not in any private trackers, but i heard some groups do interviews.

i'd have a chance at getting in, since my torrent box runs around the clock, and once i get a VPN running i'm not afraid to constantly upload at maybe 1/4 of my bandwidth.

  • having to be responsible for the actual property seems to be a good idea.

idk how it's handled in germany, but i'm not aware of stuff this bad. i have someone in my family who has renters, and they either go fix stuff themselves or pay a professional if the heating's acting up again.

and being a renter of someonecs privately owned apartment in a corporate owned house, i feel like being taken care of adequately.

i hope it gets better for you guys.
